Last year I was working with some NGOs specifically works in helping Leave alone. And then I saw a child who had no family around him. And I asked him what his age was, and he told me he is six-year-old. Unfortunately, there was no place for the child in that NGOs and I felt sad, and I asked him if he was willing to be one of my children and he accepted. But that was not the way to take the child with out any documentation. So, I took all the necessary documents with the concerned office and took him as one of my family members and became my third child.

Excellent job 👌! But you can make it simple by giving the three basic rules to change a direct speech to indirect(reported) speech i.e 1: Change the pronoun 2: back shifting the tense to the past and 3 : change the time and place expressions. Moreover, you can make it simple by categorizing the lesson for 1: statements, 2: questions and 3 : for imperatives

There is no actual difference between these two words. Both convey the same meaning; but 'yesterday' is mainly used in direct speech and 'previous day' is used in indirect/reported speech.
