I live in Laredo and your terminal is in mines road which is always full of traffic and the last time it snowed was in 2017 and before that was in 2004

It snowed and got real cold there in February that’s why the truck wash is down at the CFI yard
That reminds I did hear the pipes froze and busted for the wash
That sucks

Hey Dave! Love the videos! Huge fan. You're one of the reasons I'm going OTR, been local for a few years. Wanna see the country, man!! And I luuuuuve trucking! Wanted to give you a mechanical insight, if you're ever wondering why the truck temp says it's hotter than it is, specially when you're sitting. The sensor for that outside temp sit on the radiator in the grill. So when you're sitting, the hotter radiator air warms up the sensor. Just a cool little something to know. haha. Safe travels trucking bud! Maybe we'll see you on the road someday. =D
Interesting. I know we have temp sensors under our mirrors that control whether our trucks will idle shutdown or not, I assumed it went off the same but I guess not

As a former safety manager I hate when drivers say they are super comfortable with something. That’s exactly when you let your guard down and shit goes down.

Gotta get a little more aggressive with your lane changes Dave, people will ignore just a signal, you need to start push over and then they will slow down and let you in.
Exactly people will always try and squeeze in until they see the truck is veering to the next lane

@@soggybogwitch probably because atleast several times a day I see trucks leaving there turn signals on for miles so you end up ignoring them sometimes
First you ask to move over with the turn signal. if that doesn't work you suggest that your moving over by starting to move over but stay in your lane. If that doesn't work you tell them you are moving over by actually starying to move over. At that point they usually get the idea.

I haven't read any of the comments yet so someone may have mentioned something similar but in regards to you seeing 2 Love's across the street from each other: a few years ago I used to work for a McDonald's franchisee that owned I think nearly 30 locations. I never worked for their "Toll Road" stores but I've heard that they have a McDonald's, a Dairy Queen and a small Travel/Souvenir store/Truck stop along the Northern Indiana Toll Road interstate 80/90. They had one location on the north side of the expressway for Westbound traffic heading towards Chicago and they had a duplicate of everything on the south side for the Westbound so that you don't have to exit to turn around and come back you just simply have easy access especially if you're in an 18-wheeler and on a time schedule you don't have time to turn off at the next exit, come back to McDonald's and then get back on the expressway and get off at the next exit to turn around and come back the way you were originally going. Another thing is the truck stop locations didn't sell Happy Meals, didn't sell single hamburger/cheeseburgers only Big Macs and Quarter Pounders and larger sandwiches "because truck drivers need to get as many calories as possible". It's been like 15 years since I worked for that franchisee. Also they didn't sell ice cream from McDonald's because there was a Dairy Queen in the same travel stop owned by the same owner/operator. Been watchin your videos for about a week now on my FireStick youtube app this is the first time I've commented on a video, didn't think I was sub'd yet but my phone says I am. Keep truckin Dave, love watchin whatever you put out even if I watch out of order lol. I'm not a truck driver but I do enjoy you vlogs!

Same thing happened to me. Two Love's on different sides of the highway. Or course I went the wrong way and had to go five miles in a huge circle just to get back to the highway. The sign may have said trucks to the left but it's hard to see at night going 45 miles per hour. Always pre trip. 😂

Yeah man, I don't blame you for getting stressed out on i-35 from Dallas => San Antonio area. I lived in New Braunfels since I was 12 until recently, and I hated that stretch in a car. I can't even imagine driving a truck

Hi Dave I like to learn about trucking.. And go for my trucking license so I can start training.. but can't now had an opend heart surgery and they took some veins out of my right leg. And I am still heeling and still in some pain.. but ever sence I was like my 14 or 15 wth my uncle before he passed away from cancer he aways take me and my dad to look at trucks and any ways keep up the good job of video taping and be blessed

My only concern is that I take CBD once and awhile for sleep and I'm worried about showing up on a drug test. I guess I'll find out soon enough. Thanks for the videos man!
Can you describe all the gadgets in the windshield of your truck?
White bar at the center bottom of windshield is the toll pass and indicator for the DOT stations, top center on the left is the outward facing camera, right side has 2 parts for the lane departure censor. Far left top is the inward facing camera, cellphone then gps. Not sure what Dave has above the toll pass.

I was driving by the port of Long Beach this weekend and a big tow truck was towing a big rig and crashed into the middle divider (assuming he lost control) I drove by again 8 hours later, and he was still stuck there.
I can’t wait for this to start when I’m older I’ll be trucking for walmart
Walmart drivers actually average over $80,000 a year. Just know that Walmart requires at least 30 months experience before you work as a driver for them. You also need a clean driving record. They’re a very picky company, but that’s why they pay good

I-35 in general is a mess up in Dallas. I hate having to take it when I’m driving out east to go to college or when I’m coming back west from college. Isn’t fun, especially during rush hour.

Damn sad to see no one let you in Germany we have regular traffic backing up about 3miles because the Audi Manufacturer is right there. And every vehicle on the main street let 1 Vehicle or Truck in from the Parking spot or manufacturer it's not a law in Germany but everybody does out of respect
