  • Building a business from home has its perks when I'm just sat at my desk but building a canvas business from home is becoming more of a struggle as it's growing.
It's hard with limited space, especially when im side hustling flipping products too but the smart thing to do is keep costs low until the business is standing on it's own two feet with healthy numbers.
I'm really happy with the progress just 2 month's in, there are some business who don't turn a profit for month's or at all in the first year so to turn a profit in the first month and again in month two is massively appealing.
Plenty more to go with this one, the first brands are just the start and not sure how long term they will be but it's allowing me to get the plates spinning and get the business off the ground.
Let's see where I can take it.

Hello Tony, great work! I support you. I also work in canvas printing and personal photos. If you would like to exchange experiences, I don't mind. Please note that I am not from the United States, so the printing machines, as well as the printing methods, differ. Good luck 👏🏼

What about the printing costs (ink, canvas, printer allocation, etc.)? You didn't deduct that from the sales. Also, please show the product... I have no idea what you are creating....

Good work, fingers crossed for you. Seems like you could scale it easier than FBA. I sell mostly used on FBA but every other week Amazon brings out some new fee or change that making it harder for us smaller sellers (FBA no longer has buy box advantage over FBM, section 3s being handed out like confetti now, low inventory fees etc) so i'm completely changing my model on there.
Don't know if it would be cheaper fulfillment method for you but have you looked at getting Amazon to fulfill your stock when purchased from your website?

I did look but having all the experience I have with Amz, i know not to put a fragile item in the hands of Amazon fulfilment - their fees due to the size of the canvas’s were really high and also would expect returns as they’re not great with fragile items, happy with fulfilment partner i have and 30% profit margin so far.

@@TonyJTomlinson that's true, the amount of Amazon warehouse damaged or lost items I've had is silly really, another reason i'm getting out of FBA.
30% profit is decent. How are you going to avoid ad burnout and increasing CPC? In the past in my previous niche businesses I've found that paid advertising just gets more and more expensive after all the low hanging fruit has been taken, until a point where the only ppl making money is Facebook and Google.

Its where my expertise sit, Iv been a digital marketer for 14+ years and prior to this was paid to manage clients budgets (some very large budgets) so ad burnout doesnt become an issue if you deploy the correct strategy, actually its the opposite - gone are the days of building a campaign then leaving it, constantly tinker and benefit from the ai powerhouses which essentially means your ads ‘should’ perform better the longer they run as you’re gathering more and more learnings.
