Wow, 6.5k views but only 95 likes must be a bunch of watching at work. Great video. Not sure sure what the one dislike is about, maybe jealously. Always a good review, and sometimes something new! I’ve watched this far more then once.
Really informative. I do know on the AOI on the rung that if you click the tiny little square box in the upper right corner of the AOI that too directly opens the logic instruction within it. Rockwell Library of Process Objects 4.0 has so many ready built AOI's also too many to count. You should also do a video on how to go about making your own simple AOI for Block Programming. As well a video on how to protect your work and lock a AOI from others viewing the code within.
Everyone has their own taste. Im a fan of AOIs and UDTs. Not so much of the Array though. A numbering system is so much better when coding. Put a label on the Cylinder in the field and match it to the AOI. CYL_010101, CYL_010102 etc. Makes troubleshooting for the techs easier too
I like the video, however just one comment - the Alarm flag would be better with a seal in instead of a latch. Use the reset/clear to break the seal in , with a Seal-In .. when the processor is powered back up after someone shut it down after a fault the alarm would be cleared as the seal in would go away. If your specific logic requires that fault state remembered through cycles - Latch it or DINT it outside of the AOI.

Are AOI firmware specific? If I create one in Studio 5000 firmware 33, can I use it in a project for, say firmware 21 or 30? Thanks for the great content.

buenos días, disculpe la molestia,me surgió un problema en la instalación de studio 5000 V28, V27, V26, al momento de la instalación todo comienza bien pero después se pausa y se queda estática, no marca ningún error pero ya no avanza la instalación, alguna vez tubo ese problema?
