Yes!!! I was hoping I would see a wheel! As a kid, and even now I get a kick out of wheel fireworks! It was funny when they would work the nail out and come off of our firework stand! Lol... As a kid, there were these "wheels" in which it was a stick, kinda looked like a Roman candle. You would light it and it would spin around. If you ever see these, get some! Lol. I'm writing that without having finished this/the rest of these videos.
Fantastic showcase, Cody. Those mini fountains by Horse were amongst my favorites back then. While small and short lasting they were very colorful. Horse mads two larger sibmings. One was with green and yellow wrapping. The other blie and white, if I recall correctly. I believe the green and yellow one has peacocks om it, and was (at the time in the mid 80s) tremendously beautiful. Thank your for sharing! Brings bacl many fond memories!
Boy that brings me back. I remember the pinwheels we nailed to trees in the 60's. Great fun. Back when m80's were true m80's along with cherry bombs and ash cans. You felt the concussion on your face. Thanks Cody.
As soon as i saw the warheads i clicked.....one of the few things you've shown that we had in the Netherlands as well. Well they were for sale in the 90's in Belgium but brought them to the Netherlands. You never knew where they would go. Quite dangerous but still cool.
Brought me back to childhood, lighting off little Palm Tree fountains and Witch Whistles with my old man. Thanks for the nostalgic trip down memory lane
Great collection. It would be cool if you could do a comparison of some of the DOT and new items. I remember getting those west lake rockets in the late 70’s -80s. Then there was a year they were mostly duds. Now they’re just week. The original cuckoo’s were amazing and ground blooms, jumping jacks! Happiness fountains used finish off with a barage of lady finger crackers. Not crackle powder. So many classics. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Cody! That bought back a lot of good memories from when I was a kid! Yea, that wheel was supposed to be mounted. They spin pretty good and last a decent amount of time. Always liked the pinwheels, they put on a good show.
Not sure if you know, but the full box you have are the original, full-size Cuckoo fireworks. That little 3-pack is the smaller version called Jr. Cuckoo. The “JR” is often overlooked
Link Triad, Horse Brand, Red Lantern, Flower Basket, etc. Ever notice how the logos of all those brands are small, circular, and red/white in color? Makes me wonder if there was some Chinese regulation on logo creation or if they were all made by the same main company with several divisions? Always thought it was odd.
I have this childhood memory of a Camelia Flower flying up in the air like an aerial spinner. I think it was because I lit it upside down. But now that I think about it, it's probably the same thing on either side. There is no upside down. So i'm not sure how it happened. But it was cool. There has to be a consistent way to replicate it.
Those sunflowers were the best loads of sparks real high, just like the 2 stage plastic ones went double the height and sparks, but now they took all the powder out there horrible.
Instead of nailing the spinners to a post, you can also run a string through the center hole and dangle it horizontally (holding the string in your hand if you don’t want to mount it)
Nothing like Westlake Rockets 🙂!. Tanks are a classic u can buy them as singles at some gas station by me . The pinwheels are great just nail it to a tree works everytime.they used to come with the nail to👍🏼.
Love the War Head rockets! I still have some of the same items in my stash. I love the old pulling fireworks also. I found a new supply of them but they aren't quite the same...
I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a canister type smoke item and a small flare made by the fairy brand when I was a lot younger. Thank you for the good memories and great video. Looking forward to seeing more.
Catherine Wheels are one of our oldest fireworks over here in the UK and there should have been a nail with it to nail to a post, they are really good when they work properly, some of what you have there were also sold over here like the Aladdin's Lamp and the Cuckoo is still around today, i have never heard of Flying Fairy Brand either but all the rest were sold over here starting back in the 1980's when they were a complete novelty and nothing like the British made fireworks we were used to.
Flying fairy brand was the brand for fireworks from Hunan province, before it got replaced by red lantern brand, I think in the 1970s, but not sure. So these should be quite old I guess..
I remember the West Lake rocket assortment rockets were pretty good back in the ‘80s. The last ones I had not too many years ago weren’t all that though. I had the large Sunflowers back then too that were pretty good if I remember correctly but its been over 3 decades ago lol
Oh come on! Are you seriously putting an _old_ Colorful Wheel on the ground?! Why? You're smart enough to figure out it won't work! It's incredible you often do ground spinners on sand, gravel, rocks and of course they don't spin! What a waste of vintage fireworks & a failed demonstration.

Wassup cody check out the latest demo I did in my channel!

A fireworks pro puts a spinning wheel on a rock! LOL =)
Cool stuff... I remember most of those from the 80's and 90's.
Brought me back to childhood, lighting off little Palm Tree fountains and Witch Whistles with my old man. Thanks for the nostalgic trip down memory lane

Cody I enjoy seeing your vintage fireworks collection. It's so cool seeing older fireworks.

Those camellia flowers are great but they really need a hard surface like a piece of plywood.
I wish the Ground Bloom Flowers of today would be as good as the originals 🥺

"When you started young in pyro" lmao which usually entails a stern talking to from someone maybe the fire department!!
Those tiny fountains, I lit a lot of those off when I was younger! They actually perform really well for being so small!!!!
That's really cool vintage fireworks collection you have there Cody 🎆🎆🎆🎆
Love the War Head rockets! I still have some of the same items in my stash. I love the old pulling fireworks also. I found a new supply of them but they aren't quite the same...

You owe us 2 Large Pin Wheels!
Yeah, the Moon Flitting Phenix packs each had slightly different packaging.
Nice !!! Love those collectibles

Bro that’s literally so fire. I wish I had fireworks like this so when Im Bored I can just shoot off some fireworks. So sick dude
Not when ur neighbors call the cops on you everytime you light off a bottle rocket or adult snappers
When they call the cops don't answer the door....lol

You made your childhood dream a reality. Love it
