    An additional tip I did not show is you can use bone meal to grow the kelp if you have it available
    Also I believe bubble columns don't have a limit but of course needs to be water source blocks across the entire column. Kelp however I think is max 25 blocks? So that would limit how much water you could convert to water source blocks at once

    Exactly what I was looking for. Forgot it couldn't be flowing water after building the shaft from y120 to y-58. It didn't work. Everyone else is using slow over engineered realistic ones.
    I like to use bubble columns for player and item elevators. I had a few rigged up to an automatic item sorting machine in my diamond mine in my first server. It's been a couple years. Great refresher! And a reminder to double the shaft dimensions I have for future expansion once I've built the surface- mine mailing system.

    You can make the kelp go to the top by repeatedly bonemealing the bottom piece, no need to manually place it all.

      I was really at war with myself on whether to do that or not. I decided to go through the pain of placing them all, just because it seemed easier than farming the bone meal. 😂

      But only 25 blocks, since thats the maximum natural grow. But you can manipulate it and cut the top of the kelp with a sheer, and you get som more blocks that the kelp can grow. I am looking for a tip my self, since I havent got any nether wart for making water brearhing potion.

    Thanks for the amazing video! Just wondering... I can't manage to get out of the elevator to second floors or others, i think it's a bit too fast, do you have any tips for that?

    • @drackiseries
      @drackiseries  2 месяца назад

      Maybe you need to split the water elevator into chunks
      I was thinking you could use trapdoors but it probably might interfere with the bubble columns

    I have had bubble elevators on my creeper farm for quite a while and I love them. I use a potion of water breathing while placing the kelp.
