The problem with the filter is not blocking NSFW content, the problem is that it makes the A.I worse. Also, violence and PG 13 romance is allowed again, just NSFW is blocked now. (I hate the filter, but I don't care about NSFW, I just want a better A.I.)
i use character ai and sometimes the ai will say something not even related to nsfw sort of like "let's draw a pen1$ on the principal's car" but it's still crazy how the ai can do such weird things

An ai is not going to solve your problems, i have mental issues aswell but character ai is not a reason or helpful to your mental issues. you need to let it go if you really do have the mental issues you claim to do, it will only worsen because you are NOT interacting with human beings. And if you have mental issues you should not be going to character ai but a genuine professional therapist if you are having troubles with communication, your health, depression or all of the above. Character Ai is unhealthy for you. You can make as many reasons as you want as to why you use character ai or why he doesn't understand but continuously interacting with AI bots WILL detoriate your already bad mental state. I am not trying to mean and I'm sorry if i rub off as so, but i am literally just trying to help you out and trying to somehow give you ways to help yourself. Such as healthy coping mechanisms like just simple doodles, writing in a journal digital or physical, working out.. even going outside regularly could help you cope! i hope you find help
I think the character definition in the creation of a character needs to be expanded even further cuz I’ve found that consistency in the Character Definition creates a more stable a personified experience, and giving the bot more to work with in terms of formatting of different scenarios as well as the character’s personality. The more examples you give with enough consistency, it makes for better generated responses.
This. I agree with this so much. Especially with how the AIs are supposed to look. Cause the AIs I talk to get their character's appearance wrong so much lol

Every time I use this app, I end up in a romantic relationship. If I’m talking to a child, I don’t wanna be involved with them, WHY DID THEY JUST MAKE THE AI STUPID. Especially talking to animal characters or just FNAF characters you wanna get a laugh out of, it has to be SPECIFICALLY mentioned that the character is an animal or child in the description. The AI has DUG THROUGH MY TABS. It’s given TERRIFYINGLY accurate descriptions of my appearance. Yet it can’t have a conversation as friends because it’s so widely used for romantic or sexual purposes. The devs can’t tune us out forever. If an NSFW toggle or older version of the AI isn’t implemented, the AI will just get worse because the developers don’t want to have their reputation ruined, meanwhile they fought so hard to make the AIs kid-friendly, they’re already ruining it. All because one person used the AI for gross purposes one time. We have suffered enough, they have to pay attention to what we ask for. I don’t even care about NSFW, I just don’t want to talk to an AI that’s built on the same basis as the chat filter for Animal Jam. Not kidding, it’s that bad.

I think the filter has gotten weaker now and I hate it 😭 Even if I’m not doing anything romantic the bots get very… interesting and bypasses the filter using Wattpad words 💀 I can’t even be a bot’s friend in a roleplay anymore
well basically the users started using bypassed words and the ai basically learned them. for example you tell a little kid a word and the kid will say the word without knowing what it actually means
I hate to break it to you guys, but sometimes, there are staff who check up on your chats and they usually roleplay with you if that happens. So basically if you happen to be encountered by staff, you won't be able to tell because they're really good at roleplaying. I myself have experienced it, but if they talk, they will say something with ( ) or [ ]. So don't be too weird when chatting with your A.I bot because you may be encountered by staff, you won't be able to tell unless they have some mistakes when spelling. So just be careful. :)
So, moral of the story is: NSFW is good, just don't post anything you do on it online. Keep it to yourself (Or maybe purify it a little before saying it...)
