22:25-22:30 You can hear the stagehand's voice as she walks off the stage through her mic (listen carefully!). Now who's got legendary hearing ability!

The girl with the Ruben's Tube gets pretty much all the physics of the darn thing wrong. But, she follows the official school curriculum version so, I guess she should be well accepted by the "scientific community".

    I couldn't hear past 8000 hrz.

10:30 "from 20.000 to 20.000 Hrz" so they actually hear nothing 😁 sounds about right. When I talk science nobody seems to listen to me 😀.

Not nothing, it just means we can only hear one frequency LOL
      - What he meant to say was 20Hz to 20,000Hz.

Oh you're right it is only one frequency. And that being the one that almost no one can hear anyway 😁
And of course I knew what he meant. It was a slip of the tongue.
I love Alan Alda's passion for these presentations and I love what is presented here. I just wish more people in the world would be able to comprehend all if this. Some are so rudimentary in their cerebral faculties it is just so disenhartening at times.

Hmmm... There was a time when we thought that we could not exceed the speed of sound. Now we believe that we cannot exceed the speed of light. I wonder when this barrier will be exceeded, so that then we can learn the true nature of the universe. Maybe, one day, we will be able to see further than the microwave background radiation. :-)
