I love these type of reviews out there so many pelope just review and if they love apple they will always talk and talk about apple and the same goes for the samsung people and there way to biased but yours are a really good balance of the 2
Personally I see the Samsung tablet is much better in every aspect from screen resolution,, addition of a memory card and the customizabiliy of the android system,,, may be the Samsung tablet has some lag here and there but I think that is due to the TouchWiz not the tablet hardware,,, but on the other hand the iPad has much better battery life,, also personally I prefer the 16:10 aspect ratio of the Samsung than 4:3 of the iPad mini,, now it all comes to your preference.
Another great review from our Lisa! I love the fact these are always non biased. Anyhow I am so excited to be getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 next week, it's perfect in my eyes.
Nice review, Lisa. You are easy to listen to, move quickly, and hit the right points. About screen orientation: I prefer Samsung's for four reasons: 1) movies (as you mentioned), 2) running two apps at once (the long dimension splits into two nearly square (8:9) sections), 3) reading books about software (code samples are often either long or wide, both of which are easier to read on a 16:9 screen turned the appropriate way), and 4) it's easier to hold. It will be interesting to see whether the Samsung unit's battery life will meet or exceed the iPad's after the Lollipop update, which is purported to dramatically improve battery life. Also, the Samsung is going to be available for $200 on Black Friday (yes, the Pro 8.4).
True, but I was looking for the "original" picture, with full pixels. Google images tend to be downscaled. Sure Id probably find it if I tried, but I'm lazy as fuck.
iOS is better. The only reason I prefer android over iOS is because its customizable and has widgets and android devices usually have expandable storage. If iOS had expandable storage and was as customizable as android, I think android would be in deep shit because iOS has a lot more apps and games and usually run better on iOS devices. Till then (or forever, since I don't see iOS doing any of what I just mentioned) I'll stick with Android.
I have the same thought. I only use Android phone becoz it has larger screen than iPhone, everything else are Apple. Android device just can't match-up with iOS when it comes to Productivity, Creativity, Durability, Re-sale value of Apple products and people's dream to have at least one Apple product.
Many of Android phones & tablets are also compatible with USB OTG functionality; and it is easy to expand storage in such devices with the help of pen drives; and also; you can use many accessories like keypad, mouse, game controllers etc. with the help of an OTG cable. This great functionality is not available with IOS; and you have to pay for every new application you wish to add to an apple device. This sucks; as many would not like to use too many paid applications.
I own a G Tab 3 7.0. Only beef I have is that it does not have a proximity sensor which will sense when my tablet cover is closed. This fact about mt Tab also creates limitations involving a few apps that depend on a proximity sensor. Question: Does the G 8.4 have a proximity sensor? Thanks!
Great review, Lisa! You told me everything i needed to know, clear and complete. I'm swingin' with the iPad Mini. Keepin' it simple. G'day, and thanks!
Thanks for the info...New to tabs and need to decide whats for me..does Samsung have an app similar to garage band? I play music and would like something to mess around with and play guitar along with.
I will get the Tab Pro 8.4 for 213€ today. Took me a while to decide since I love the iPad mini too. But clearly the Samsung is the better tablet for me. I already have an iPhone so it will give me the best of both worlds. Tab pro 8.4 is so much cheaper, better shaped/screen sized for me and the multitasking (youtube + browsing) fits my style perfectly! Thanks Samsung and thanks TechReview for this video!
I have an iPad mini and I'm thinking about android tablets, how do you adjust to android? The iPad is simple and smooth overall but the resolution on the android tabs is catching my eye but I'm afraid it's too big of a Change and I don't know how to use it fully spence it's so much things in one.
+Athecubus actually i sold the tab pro after a couple of days and bought the ipad mini2. xD I felt like the samsung still laggs in smoothnes and overall userexperience but thats just my opinion.
I have a Note 2 and have been very happy with Android. Prefer the narrower width of the Samsung and also the SD Card slot. Seriously looking at an S5 and Gear Fit when my N2 contract is up for renewal in October.
Fabulous review, as always, Lisa. One more point for the Samsung over the iPad: the Samsung has a GPS and GLONASS receiver on all models, whereas the iPad does not have this feature with the WiFi model. That plus the SD Card slot weighs heavily in favor of the Sammy in my book, but that's just me.
MobileTechReview Lisa Gade on sunspider javascript test you said that the ipad mini with retina has more accurate colors and tab pro has saturated colors. but i think its not that ipad has more accurate. i think its quite muted and washed out due to the less color gamut.
I don't know, I LOVE my 2013 Nexus 7! It's so comfortable to hold and so smooth to use. It fits my needs perfectly. I'm not talking about benchmarks or whatever, but just in everyday use, I love it. I also much prefer pure android to touch wiz.
Oh my god forgive me Lisa, SwiftKey's fault! Thank you, i just bought the mini with all the toys and protective hardware. Hope you have a nice day! PS: shouts from Venezuela, love your work
16:10 aspect, not 16:9. another boring apple product. just a little faster. tabpro 8.4 is killer. better aspect ratio for videos. it can run more than 1 app at once. you can quintuple the storage on the tabpro for about $40. how much more is an ipad mini 64GB? $200? still not a total of 80GB of storage. does the ipad mini have true stereo speakers or a mono speaker with extra holes drilled? the overall experience is better with the tabpro. apple? yawn!
In what world did you think that people use their tablets just for video? The 4:3 ratio is 10 times better for surfing the web for example, as it is easier to view more content in the correct way (most webpages look too narrow if you hold the 16:9 or 16:10 ratio tablet in portrait mode, and the screen is not tall enough when in landscape). I don't know about you.. but most people I know buy a tablet for web surfing, social media and of course some fun easy games here and there. In my opinion, the iPad Air is the tablet I would choose still.. Android apps are just not stable enough on the tablet side yet either, so yeah.. However, if you are already used to your Android-phone, then of course, go with an Android tablet as your apps in the Google Play store can be used there as well.. even though most will just be blown up mobile apps.. but choose the waterproof Sony Z2 Tablet, not a cheap Samsung product (even if you sacrifice that, in my opinion useless, pen).
I never said the only thing people use their tablet for is watching videos. But tablets were reintroduced to the tech world for media consumption. The original Windows slates were for on the go work. On what other piece of electronics do you, or anybody, view content in 4:3 ratio? Besides apple products, probably nothing and very few people. It's a dying way to watch content or consume much on the Internet. Everything is moving towards 16:10 or 16:9. Do you watch a CRT TV also? All modern televisions adopted the newer ratios. Even the iPhone finally did. What does the MBP or MBA use? The iPad Air looks like the original iPad. Bravo. The icons are different and the notification bar (ahem!), but the UI is dated and jaded and boring. Android looks totally different and excels at what it does. Samsung's build quality is different than Apple's, but is it really inferior? How? Reading content on that tablet is flawless and sharp. Sharper than on ANY apple tablet. Games are killer, videos look the best. One day apple will catch up again, and maybe surpass the industry again, in a ubiquitous manner. But they're behind in many aspects. The iPad mini retina uses obsolete display technology (Display Mate). It runs smoothly but doesn't offer much more than that for the price. A larger app store, yes. But that's not enough. And as far as the stylus, type "best stylus" into Google. The first 10 things to pop up are best stylus for the iPad. Jobs was wrong, styli are not dead. There's a market for it now. Samsung has capitalized on it. Apple trails again. That being said, thank you Apple for bringing the smartphone to the forefront of technology, making it the fastest growing industry ever. I love mobile tech and Apple has blazed many trails...but their innovation is waning.
Aleksander Hoff obvious Samsung hater. If Apple made iPads models with s-pen, it would outsell the non pen models and you would be telling us how awesome the ipen is. If they also added multiview to iOS, you would not opt for iOS without the ability. Ditto for infrared, bluetooth file transfer, SD cards..... If an iPad had all that, it would be an iPadPro and the Apple fans would be all over it and current ipads would be as obsolete as an ipad1. Samsung gives you all that......today.
Aleksander Hoff Apple fanboys don't seem to have any problems with their Apple laptops, phones and desktop machines with 16:9 screens. Why do they not buy them with 4:3 screens instead? Seems like an excuse to defend lack of choice. If you want a 4:3 ratio Android tablet, there are a few available. The choice is yours.
I also love the tablet and got the same doubt. So I bought three tablets. Surface pro2 to study. I don't live without microsoft officer. Galax tab 8.4 for games and videos, and Ipad mini 64gb wifi + LTE retina for reading and internet. So I'm better than you. Nothing personal!
I love the ipad mini. Sorry. I actually love android phones but for a tablet... well the ipad mini. Simplicity. .. and much better optimized apps in my opinion. Too much customization(slow themes for example) could slow down the device and I noticed that with android tablets.. . Phones too. *Ipads can be jailbreaken. So if someone wants a lot of customization go ahead. *All that Android is better and Apple is better crap is getting stupid. It all depends on the individual's preference. They are both leading the tablet market anyway. I'm not an Apple fan boy and I'm not a fandroid. I love the best of both worlds.
yeah not having an SD card slot in this day and age really restricts some of the functionality ie try swapping the SD card from you camera to your tablet to view the photos you have just taken with an iPAD without stuffing around with a dongle.
I used to think ipad's aspect was better for tablet. Not anymore. I watch a lot of videos. The 16:9 (or 16:10) aspect is a lot more beneficial esp for the ~8" size. The other day I was comparing the ipad mini and tab pro 8.4 letterbox video playback. The ipad mini's viewable area is just too darn small.
Thanks a lot for this vid! i wanted to choose between exactly theses two devices! even if im still not sure :) i have a galaxy note 2 and a Samsung TV, but i have a macbook 15" maxed out, i dont use itunes that much. should i go for the sammy or ipad? thanks
Based on this I'd probably go for the ipad but will wait fror the nexus 8. How do these do the lg 8.3? (I picked one up and preferred the feel in my hand & build quality over the samsung but didn't get a chance to play with the lg)
I replaced my Nexus 7 2013 for the Tab pro 8.4 and love it. However, I had to return it because it had a defect on the back cover. Best buy had one other in stock and that too had a defect on the back cover. So I am now waiting for Best Buy to ship one to me. It's great from the little time I had with it, but I really wish Samsung had better quality control. If you ever want warranty service from Samsung, you better not have a scratch on it...trust me!
this version have huge faulty screens. i returned mine,as the screen sensitivety is waaaay to high. it even worked without touching the screen. even when i was doing nothing the screen would do weird things like open things. and u cannot control the sensitivity,so i had to return it. Lots of people have this stupid issue. Google it before u buy it!
pls Lisa don't make it that obvious that ur an Apple fan-girl - "Samsung always has to be bigger".... uuuh...Apple was the one who laughed about everything smaller then 9.7". - "has to put more pixels in it in the fight with Apple", really do you think that's the reason? jeeezzz - "the prettiest tablets out there you can buy, no argument there. If you like IOS or not". Let the viewer decide if it is nice looking or not. You cant possibly know what i like. Well i couldnt take more of it after 2.53 minutes and stopped watching. This can't be your goal, is it? By the way: the tab pro 8.4 is €259,00 in Holland, the iPad mini retina €389,00 which make the Samsung even more desirable and I even don't own a Samsung device ;)
What a no-brainer. IMO, iPads are much better. Great cloud sync, fantastic hardware, awesome screen, awesome app store, no viruses or malware, and easy to use interface. And great games. Just my opinion. :)
if you want to be a prisoner of your own device just to enjoy "smoothness" and "cloud sync"go with apple. if you want freedom to do anything freely and customize, plus do anything an apple does go with android. its that simple. looks and performance is so similar these days that it is a matter of personal preference
And also Apple is a great sucker. You have to go on paying for use of any number of silly applications; and break your bank to buy a 5K screen 27" iMac. Of course; if you are too rich to care about expenses; then IOS devices will always look better to you.
I am glad I came across this video. I need your opinion for a budget tablet probably between $150 and $200, but you can suggest a tablet up to $250. At first, I narrowed down to the Tab Pro 8.4 because of it's spec. But I have been hearing that it has bad reviews, which led me to pick the Tab 4.
James Nguyen Honestly, it didn't pencil out for me to acquire a tablet. Had to think about a Plan B if things go sour with my student loan repayment [especially in a third world country where it's difficult to land a job]. But I'll surely keep that in mind regards the Tab Pro 8.4. Maybe when the right time approach, I may get something even better, such as the Tab S or something newer when Samsung decided to release a new Tab.
If Apple had spent more time on their product development instead of thinking of how to sue other companies for infringement, I am sure it would have outdone Samsung. I once owned the iPad 2 and iPad Mini, but i would never go back to iPads. For now, I can do all the things that iPad can do on an android tablet! Sadly, it is not vice versa. There are things that iPad doesn't have: phone function, SD expansion, widgets, files sharing between apps, TV control... just to name a few!
Absolutely love my iPad Mini w/retina. I've messed around with other tablets... nothing comes close in terms of intuitiveness and overall user experience. These Android products are pre-LOADED with unnecessary apps and shortcuts. It's beyond confusing and very counter intuitive. Don't listen to me or her... or any salesperson. Try one in person. Try them all. My bet is you'll find the most joy with an iPad. Hands down.
I love Apple don't get me wrong everything I own is Apple from the 5s to the new mac pro's but I decided to go with the Galaxy 8.4, because lets face the facts there are somethings the iPad just cannot do, and it is really frustrating at times.
Wen I travel I like to grab my tablet and go, with the ipad I can't do it I need to take my laptop to, so is the samsung to my More storage and multitasking
Great review as always. Consider being the start of the end of Apple's reality distortion field; refer to Tablets as what they are (Tablet PCs) and Laptops/Desktops as what they are (Laptop/Desktop PCs). They're just different form-factors of a PC (Personal Computer), and the form-factor barely defines the functions of the device; that's mostly done by the OS...
To be honest this is the best looking tablet Samsung have made in a few years. That display is beautiful anf technically has a 2.5k resolution on 8.4 inches of glass. I like the ipad as well and id have both if I could lol but if I was going to buy one it would be the tab.
I cant decide! HELP!! im purchasing on amazon. I had a iphone 5 but i dropped and killed it! all my crap is in my icloud so id like to continue where I left off. the galaxy......its customizable and blah blah blah like the galaxy phones of course... WHICH ONE!?! just cant decide...
the iPad is far better in my opinion, surfing the web, ui, battery life, graphics performance and design but again this is my opinion, also with the ipad you feel like you're getting a premium product and you really get that apple experience
The home screen setup on the Galaxy Tab looks absolutely brilliant. Much better than the row of icons on the iPad IMO
I love these type of reviews out there so many pelope just review and if they love apple they will always talk and talk about apple and the same goes for the samsung people and there way to biased but yours are a really good balance of the 2
Shes one of the best informational tech reviewers out there.
Totally!
HOLY CRAP. That might be the most unbiased review I've ever seen that included an Apple product.
Awesome review!!!...as always.
I vote for Lisa to review everything on the internet.
Bought an iPad mini with retina about a month ago. Now I'm wishing I had waited. As always Lisa, excellent review!
Always love all your reviews. Very detailed and informative for those trying to decide on the product you're reveiwing.
one of the best reviews i have seen on anything
Another great review from our Lisa! I love the fact these are always non biased. Anyhow I am so excited to be getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 next week, it's perfect in my eyes.
I always enjoy listening to your reviews. keep up the good work
Love your reviews Lisa... best on youtube
As always, great in depth comprehensive review! Thanks!
This guy knows what he is talking about. Great video, man.
Wow, I didn't know Lisa was a guys name.
mrk107 lol
It's a girl...lol
***** Oh! My bad! I had to really pay attention the second time around. I thought it was one of those guys who have a feminine voice.
***** hahaha XD
I've seen that coffee wallpaper a million times on this channel. Where do I get it from?!
The wallpaper comes with recent Samsung tablets, Jesse.
Damn, ok guess I have to dig it up somewhere :)
True, but I was looking for the "original" picture, with full pixels. Google images tend to be downscaled. Sure Id probably find it if I tried, but I'm lazy as fuck.
Cheers! *****
Thanks Lisa for the always awesome review!
Got my Retina iPad Mini and loving it!
Great review. Thanks for remaining objectionable and unbiased.
At 8:59, what app do you use to substitute microsoft office on the samsung?
iOS is better. The only reason I prefer android over iOS is because its customizable and has widgets and android devices usually have expandable storage. If iOS had expandable storage and was as customizable as android, I think android would be in deep shit because iOS has a lot more apps and games and usually run better on iOS devices. dirkit247 Lafa Ramesh think samsungs already have...
Many of Android phones & tablets are also compatible with USB OTG functionality; and it is easy to expand storage in such devices with the help of pen drives; and also; you can use many accessories like keypad, mouse, game controllers etc. with the help of an OTG cable. Amazing review quality. You truly have a talent for this. Thank you.
whats the app for office you use on android?????? is it available for the 10.1 2014?
I own a G Tab 3 7.0. Only beef I have is that it does not have a proximity sensor which will sense when my tablet cover is closed. This fact about mt Tab also creates limitations involving a few apps that depend on a proximity sensor. Question: Does the G 8.4 have a proximity sensor? Thanks!
Great review, Lisa! You told me everything i needed to know, clear and complete. I'm swingin' with the iPad Mini. Keepin' it simple. G'day, and thanks!
Which has the better screen for outdoors use?
Lisa, I'm not seeing any video. Tried chrome and IE? After the advert it goes black.
Love your reviews. Very informative.
What is the stand you have the Galaxy Tab resting on?
This was the perfect video and just what I needed. Currently deciding and your explanation helped a lot!
You guys have to give RUclips a moment to finish processing the video.
Thanks for the comparison! Would also appreciate a comparison to the 2013 Nexus as well as to the Galaxy Note 8
Lisa has the best comparos of tech ive seen
Samsung made the Retina display. There we go.
Thanks for the info...New to tabs and need to decide whats for me..does Samsung have an app similar to garage band? I play music and would like something to mess around with and play guitar along with.
Great comparison! Thanks for the useful, informative videos!
I will get the Tab Pro 8.4 for 213€ today.
Took me a while to decide since I love the iPad mini too. But clearly the Samsung is the better tablet for me. I already have an iPhone so it will give me the best of both worlds. Thanks !
What office application is that on the samsung?
Fabulous review, as always, Lisa.
One more point for the Samsung over the iPad: the Samsung has a GPS and GLONASS receiver on all models, whereas the iPad does not have this feature with the WiFi model.
That plus the SD Card slot weighs heavily in favor of the Sammy in my book, but that's just me.
Lets be honest here; Do you actually use your tablet for maps?
I was thinking of getting the iPad Mini Retina but the new Samsung seems like a better deal
MobileTechReview Lisa Gade on sunspider javascript test you said that the ipad mini with retina has more accurate colors and tab pro has saturated colors. but i think its not that ipad has more accurate. i think its quite muted and washed out due to the less color gamut.
Thanks for this smackdown! Lots to think about...
oh yes she is sooo knowledgeable reviewer on the web
I'd like to see the tab pro 8.4 go up against the nexus 7 2013.
The nexus 7 gets smashed. The CPU is just an S4 pro that's a little overclocked. It can't compete with this 800.
Faethe I'd have to agree unless you want a smaller and less expensive tablet.
PS: shouts from Venezuela, love your work
You can get coffee wallpaper from ZEDGE application.
Buy SP3, you will love it
I have the Surface 2 and Note 2014...my Tab pro 8.4 will arrived tomorrow!!!
I really like your reviews. It's very clear and on point thnks!
16:10 aspect, not 16:9. another boring apple product. just a little faster.

you're right. i stated that incorrectly. i prefer Android's take on it, allowing you to see 4 active windows open at once.

Hi Lisa I like both Tablets, hard to pick one, So I decided to buy both Tablets. Have a a wonderful day. I love your reviews.

Haha, I am the same :)
I know, right? :)
She should mention that the Apple Retina Mini's back is made of genuine aluminum, just like Coke cans.
Great review. The iPad doesn't stand a chance.
Very useful comparison, it helped me a lot in choosing. Thanks!
Good work !Lisa:)
How do you afford this stuff do you get discounts or something ???
The iPad mini w/ retina is by far the best iPad to date. For $400 I would get the tab pro though, so much more capable.
yeah not having an SD card slot in this day and age really restricts some of the functionality ie try swapping the SD card from you camera to your tablet to view the photos you have just taken with an iPAD without stuffing around with a dongle.
I have an Ipad and do not need an sd card because i have one on my Android phone. The Ipad is still a better tablet without it.

People should start realizing 1920 x 1080 is a 16:9 ratio while 1920 x 1200 is 16:10.
I HAVE SAMSUNG TAB 3, I LOVE IT BUT IM GETTING THE NEW SAMSUNG TAB PRO.
Can someone please explain to me how ios is more simple when it takes more steps than android to get things done.
Let u I have that got my hands on tab pro 8.4 sm-t325 phone virgin so if u can get hands on one of these compare it with the s5 that would be great
Thanks a lot for this vid! i wanted to choose between exactly theses two devices! even if im still not sure :) i have a galaxy note 2 and a Samsung TV, but i have a macbook 15" maxed out, i dont use itunes that much. should i go for the sammy or ipad? thanks
Darren Trotter Yep thanks !
Based on this I'd probably go for the ipad but will wait fror the nexus 8. How do these do the lg 8.3? (I picked one up and preferred the feel in my hand & build quality over the samsung but didn't get a chance to play with the lg)
I'm getting either one which 1 also g pad Google play is a option
i am also in same condition like u i cant decide
great review. very helpful.
What about gaming?
does samsung galaxy tab pro 8.4 3g have voice calling facility
I want galaxy tap pro really badly!!
Great review
Thanks Lisa for the comparison....10/10
I replaced my Nexus 7 2013 for the Tab pro 8.4 and love it. However, I had to return it because it had a defect on the back cover. Best buy had one other in stock and that too had a defect on the back cover. So I am now waiting for Best Buy to ship one to me. It's great from the little time I had with it, but I really wish Samsung had better quality control. If you ever want warranty service from Samsung, you better not have a scratch on it...trust me!
How many galaxies really !!!
These is starting to mirror real life infinite galaxies
If only windows 8.1 tablets have high specs like this on the same price range
this version have huge faulty screens.
i returned mine,as the screen sensitivety is waaaay to high.
it even worked without touching the screen.
even when i was doing nothing the screen would do weird things like open things.
and u cannot control the sensitivity,so i had to return it.
Lots of people have this stupid issue.
Google it before u buy it!
+Zer0 the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has very high screen sensitivity issues. As in, it doesn't take much to register mistakes in touch.
I don't see any video, either!
pls Lisa don't make it that obvious that ur an Apple fan-girl
- "Samsung always has to be bigger".... uuuh...Apple was the one who laughed about everything smaller then 9.7".
- "has to put more pixels in it in the fight with Apple", really do you think that's the reason? jeeezzz
- "the prettiest tablets out there you can buy, no argument there. If you like IOS or not".
Let the viewer decide if it is nice looking or not. You cant possibly know what i like.
Well i couldnt take more of it after 2.53 minutes and stopped watching. This can't be your goal, is it?
By the way: the tab pro 8.4 is €259,00 in Holland, the iPad mini retina €389,00 which make the Samsung even more desirable and I even don't own a Samsung device ;)
its her opinion idiot

Aaah, a typical Apple fanboy reaction...nice as always :)

hehehe, also een typical Apple fanboy reaction. BTW i dont have a Samsung :)
*****
Maybe, but her review is clear.
Correction Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is 2560x1600 16:10 not 16:9.
Samsung is better! Flame on!
I love my retina mini...but this Sammy is also good
What a no-brainer. IMO, iPads are much better. Great cloud sync, fantastic hardware, awesome screen, awesome app store, no viruses or malware, and easy to use interface. And great games. Just my opinion. :)
The Samsung is technically a better machine. End of.
ogorki1 Maybe it has better hardware, but still isn't as fast due to clunky software
What i don't like about apple products is sharing/moving media and contents from or to another device. It's so annoying.
if you want to be a prisoner of your own device just to enjoy "smoothness" and "cloud sync"go with apple.
if you want freedom to do anything freely and customize, plus do anything an apple does go with android.
its that simple.
looks and performance is so similar these days that it is a matter of personal preference
And also Apple is a great sucker. You have to go on paying for use of any number of silly applications; and break your bank to buy a 5K screen 27" iMac. Of course; if you are too rich to care about expenses; then IOS devices will always look better to you.
Why cant u play a same video on both at ghe same time, and let us decide?
I am glad I came across this video. I need your opinion for a budget tablet probably between $150 and $200, but you can suggest a tablet up to $250. At first, I narrowed down to the Tab Pro 8.4 because of it's spec. But I have been hearing that it has bad reviews, which led me to pick the Tab 4.
Did you pick the Tab 4? The Tab Pro 8.4 is honestly amazing, I got mine for $230. It's better in pretty much every way compared to the Tab 4.
James Nguyen
Honestly, it didn't pencil out for me to acquire a tablet.
Ipad mini retina is my favroute
Absolutely love my iPad Mini w/retina.
I've messed around with other tablets... nothing comes close in terms of intuitiveness and overall user experience.
These Android products are pre-LOADED with unnecessary apps and shortcuts. It's beyond confusing and very counter intuitive.
Don't listen to me or her... or any salesperson. Try one in person. Try them all. My bet is you'll find the most joy with an iPad. Hands down.
Give us a break! It's like still having a car with roll up windows compared to the Sammy!
To be fair, anything is intuitive when it can't really do much. It's like a light switch. It's intuitive because it's dead simple.
Faethe
"To be fair", why are people discourging people from the preferrance for a particular tablet?
My Pro has had a lot of issues.
The lack of an sd card slot is a complete deal breaker on the Ipad.
I love Apple don't get me wrong everything I own is Apple from the 5s to the new mac pro's but I decided to go with the Galaxy 8.4, because lets face the facts there are somethings the iPad just cannot do, and it is really frustrating at times.
Wen I travel I like to grab my tablet and go, with the ipad I can't do it
I need to take my laptop to, so is the samsung to my
More storage and multitasking
Did anybody notice iPad mini moving when she put them facing down? O.O
I'd go for the iPad pro 2018 😁
I hope Samsung makes a play edition
Great review as always.
Consider being the start of the end of Apple's reality distortion field; refer to Tablets as what they are (Tablet PCs) and Laptops/Desktops as what they are (Laptop/Desktop PCs). They're just different form-factors of a PC (Personal Computer), and the form-factor barely defines the functions of the device; that's mostly done by the OS...
The only reason to consider an iPad is because of the app optimization and the build quality. Everything else goes to the Tab Pro.
To be honest this is the best looking tablet Samsung have made in a few years. That display is beautiful anf technically has a 2.5k resolution on 8.4 inches of glass. I like the ipad as well and id have both if I could lol but if I was going to buy one it would be the tab.
It's 16:10 not 16:9
I cant decide! HELP!! im purchasing on amazon.
+Ravi Singh Thank you lots, ipad it is! I agree even though my only experience is with the iPhone .. I loved it
You should have mentioned the ridiculously outdated lack of color gamut on the ipad mini!
