Dear EBF, you're welcome to my raw 1080p footage of this same event (by permission from Sheldon). I was much closer and worked harder than your videographer at Town Hall to aim the camera. Accordingly the video is much closer. It got many 10s of 000s of views on various free distributions. Also have some other unpublished EBF speakers and events. As you know Neil Elgee had a particular set of goals and ideas which prevented wider dissemination. Glad you're rethinking those. For example it should be a priority to explore joint events with the Jung society and other schools of psychology in Seattle.
I'm really always truly amazed at these talks on "what happens if you are reminded of death." Sheldon is great and his expositions are always full of wonderful twists and turns, but I can't say I ever felt terror or fear of death. Perhaps it's the "awe" that was mentioned here. I am awed by everything around me and feel but a small part of it. I feel safe in Jesus Christ.
talk some of that shit down here in the south!!! see what happens! unless you're ready to take up arms your voice is mute! don't misunderstand , I agree with you !
I get that you were likely educated in the South, too, but come on, learn to English. *Talk (not talk) (capitalisation) *! (not !!!) *See (not see) (capitalisation) *Unless (not unless) (capitalisation) *arms, (note comma) *moot (?) (This I'm unsure of, as mute makes no sense, but moot doesn't fit very well, either) *Don't (not don't) (capitalisation) *misunderstand, (not space comma) *you! (not space exclamation mark) I do appreciate that you used the correct homonym 'your,' at least. That's a step above flerfers, so that's a positive.
@Mary_Ann Nytowl223 Well then. Please correct me if I am mistaken. You are giving a Grammer lesson based on your selfish, self-centered, desire to be superior? Did I do that correctly?
He's a smart guy but it's the same lecture over and over and over again even with the same catch phrases, metaphors and comedy shtick. I wish I could hear a lecture in which he had something new to say.
Hi TJ. Yes this is the inevitable fate of someone who does a lot of outreach. Like a band playing the old hits all the time! Anyhow he goes much further (including in ways that seemed strange to me ) in a long interview here: ruclips.net/video/qfKyNxfyWbo/видео.html
Um, shorts, too? I thought he was at least wearing pants. And now that I'm watching it, he's showing up in my feed a lot... and he's always in stretched out, wrinkly t-shirts. Does he not have _any_ sense of how much of a bum he looks like, in that kind of outfit? He can't wear nicely fitting t-shirts, at least, and pants? Sorry, but the whole way through, I kept having to disconnect what I am seeing from what I'm hearing.
He’s an endearing, intriguing person, for sure. If we could magically see a video of his life from birth to now, we might be able to put 2 and 2 together and figure out why he chooses this way.
@@heidi22209 well, I don't mind t-shirts, at all! It's just stretched out, wrinkled up, ill-fitting t-shirts that I dislike. So, yeah, I wouldn't mind the blazer look, either. But I prefer Miami Vice to Vise. 😄 I generally just use my vise as a tool. 😄
Im in a Sheldon Solomon hole....
I can't get out, nor do I want to. I want more Sheldon in my life.
Sheldon Solomon is the man! I would love to see him speak in person
Nice talk, and even better questions. Looking forward to more studies.

Great talk all the way through and even into the questions at the end. Thank you so much for all your work Dr. Solomon.

a slip of the tongue, da Vinci was drawing helicopters.
Yeah, that's what I thought! I thought I'd misheard this guy, so I'm glad I saw your comment!

I hear you. I like this though. It is like listening again to an enjoyable audiobook.

I adore his Style.
I'd like to see him in a Miami Vise, type Blazer. Over his t-shirts. Word!
