This is what my childhood of discovering Kate Bush and Florence Welch as well as a few other artists was like for me. Like this extremely feminine music bursting with drama at the seams. . . . I was instantly obsessed and inspired by what they do. and then coming across Antony & The Johnsons and seeing that . . . transwomen CAN do music and it not need to sound like something in a TOP 40 Pop playlist type of genre. and women like Florence, Cher, Stevie Nicks and Grace Slick showing I can sing rough and hard and strong and still be feminine. These were things that were monumental to someone who isn't on the traditional spectrum of gender to notice. You don't forget when someone changes your scope and perspective on something that inspires you.

Other than my own family........Aurora is legitimately my favorite human on this planet. Her music is creative emotional catharsis....and I love it. But also....who she IS as a human being....is just the best. Wise, kind, very funny. I'm like 12 years older than Aurora...but I seriously look UP to her. In part because Aurora is such an _extreme_ introvert....yet she found a way to put her art out into the world. I find that genuinely inspiring. Us extreme introverts need examples of people like us...finding a way to thrive on their own terms.
