6:28 Two things that really sped up my ingesting: I used to use ratings to choose between keepers and non-keepers, but ended up umming and ahhing over what rating to give. So now I just use “pick” for ones that I want to process further, “unpick” for ones I don’t want to delete but don’t want to spend time on, and “reject” for actually unusable stuff (out of focus etc.). The second thing is learning that there are keyboard shortcuts for those (P, U, and X) and that if you have Caps Lock turned on, Lightroom will automatically move to the next photo once you’ve flagged it. So you can breeze through a first pass of hundreds of photos relatively quickly. A handy tip on the off chance you don’t know it!

I'll be trying this. I tried rating but ended up with a binary + garbage scale anyway. This makes much more sense.

I love that you show the RAW images from your day. Very few of my shots ever see my socials feeds lol, and it's comforting to know that even the photographers I look up to are in the same boat.

Congratulations on becoming a Fuji ambassador. Always love your photo look Josh, you truly make any location or mundane object beautiful. Wasn't keen on the video colouring when compared to your beautiful photos, but obviously that's personal taste 😊 As always looking forward to your Framelines content in 2025 😍

Thanks so much Julian, you know I wasn’t actually sure re the colour of the footage vs the shots and once I’d finished this video I thought I should probably revert to how I normally colour videos (basically just a film sim with some tweaks) cheers!

Must admit that it does slow you down, I shoot withe the first GFX 50s and this was one of the main reasons I bought it. Used to shoot pentax67.

Hi Josh, enjoyed this and your exhibition and the David Hill Gallery last year. Been an xt5 user for some time and recently acquired a GFX 50s with a broken LCD for cheap, can't afford the G lenses so been collecting Pentax 645s and absolutely loving the manual shooting process including the results.

Ah nice one David - yes the lenses are pretty pricey - I’ve owned a couple of 50s and bloody loved them, always been keen to try one with some vintage glass too

New follower! Really enjoyed your content and work and found your channel due to the Gfx100s which is really interesting me. I’ve owned a X100v since launch but main system is Nikon but really interested to find out more about the medium format system. I’m attending a Fujifilm sponsored creative event in February so hoping very much to be able to play with one. Great channel 👍

GFX ❤ Wonderful choice! I’ve been thinking photographing with my #Fujifilm GFX50R paired with GF50/3.5 for about 3 years now. I really enjoy the versatility of this system. The colour depth and image fidelity are just amazing! I’ve done a couple of documentary projects with it…

me too, big fan of the GFX range, I manage to pry from the hands of Kyle McDougall his 50R and it's now taken over from an X-Pro3 as my EDC with the 55mm f1.7. That and the 80mm f1.7 I'd borrow from Fujifilm if I was you. They are a rush.

@@frame-lines A Czech told me this a few months ago and sure enough when I checked the photos stored in my Lightroom "Collection", everything before two years ago, give or take, was gone. Now the only copies of those pictures I have, if any, are the 1920x1080 copies I have on Flickr. I was gutted!

    300$ look with 7000$ camera.
More or less DOF not really unless you put some fast third party lens from China so what’s the point.
I had 50s II and Sold it fast to stay on Sony A7R 3 and Canon FD 55 1.2 ssc lens for vintage look. Total 1500$

I do get it, and there’s not much in it but for me there is a difference on how the fall off renders - there’s something more pleasing with the bigger sensor, but I agree there’s not much in it
