Been gaming for 40 years and for some reason, possibly due to my age at the time combined with just how good it was. Warhawk has stayed with me throughout every online game I've played. Running around with your knife out so you don't show up on the mini map then pulling out a sniper and nailing people and once you mastered flying you were out flying Maverick, iceman and viper. Great time to be alive. Very good video pal. Keep it up.

I haven't played it on the PS3 (Xbox 360 here), but Far Cry 2 - my god, the memories. It's such a shame no one has replicated the style of the game, where any player can design their own maps to play with others. It genuinely was so fun, because you played so many cool custom maps that pushed the game to its limits, you had arcadey maps that were fun to play on, stuff like that. I really miss it a lot :(
Far Cry 5 has this. It can be a lot of fun. The online was great, but wasn't polished and not advertised. Most people think of Far Cry as only a single player game. It's a shame. It can still be played, but there's not many people left.

I remember spending hours building maps in the far cry 2 map editor, that mode was insane to me especially on a console game. Good job on this video Matt, and congrats on the sponsor
Honestly, since modern online gaming isn't worth playing due to developers pretty much releasing bugy and unplayable messes, it's great to see older gamers trying to revive the online servers for older online games. Since PS3 servers are free, it's understandable why so many people are still going back playing these older games online. I still remember how much fun I had playing Killzone 2 online before it's unfortunate shut down. The online play was so much fun. Some people even sent me clan requests which I unfortunately by accident declined, because I had no idea how clan invites work. 😅 I even managed to get into PS Home before it's shut down as well and meeting many different people. What I liked about PlayStation Home was how the chill the vibe was snd the fact that you could meet & interact with many different people online. But over all it's great to see the PS3 community back in action and trying to keep the console alive. Although I mostly play single player games on the PS3, but at times I don't mind playing online and meeting other people on the PS3 as well. I am thinking to try getting a used COD World at War PS3 copy & try out the multiplayer, since some COD games on the PS3 has the unfortunate fate of not letting new players keep their ranks. So the only COD that are playable online on the PS3 are COD 4 & World at War.
Ah Far Cry 2. Great experience it was then and it is now, just the custom maps alone sold me playing it as it was always riveting to play others custom maps and see what were like along with just generally, enjoying the modes FC2 provides. Nice playing with you on Far Cry 2 btw with the City of God map. Oh and PS, the 'RV' / 'Rvival' words that I put on the maps that I publish are just to indicate that they were published around the time of FC2 Online on PS3's revival.
It’s so crazy the amount of stuff developers would give us back in the day. I can’t imagine something with value like Far Cry 2 being easily made today.

I must have something between 2 or 3k hours on Warhawk, played with many people and teatched many noobs how to play. I think I started playing in 2011 and the even after buying my XBOX One and after the Xbox Series S I still went back to Warhawk. Maybe we even played together, my Nickname was JCHawk til 2017 😊
I would play old CODs but progress doesn't save on MW2 and BO1 and MW3 cannot be launched without CFW (for newer accounts). I've had to switch to PC sadly but it's still just as fun.
Starhawk (Warhawk sequel) was Fortnite before Fortnite. The beta was the most fun I've ever had. I wish that would come back. I never got to play the full game because it required an "online pass." I always bought used lol
