I have three Flynn films on DVD. This one, Captain Blood, and his magnificent Robin Hood. They form part of my pension portfolio, and should be worth a small fortune when I retire. Lol.
Yes I’ve been searching for this clip for awhile, as the music stands out so much, but I don’t recall it on any of the soundtrack albums I’ve found. Just great moody scene with you knowing somethings wrong but not sure what. Thanks for posting it👍
Thanks for posting this. Yes, films used to take their time and build emotion through careful use of details, camerawork, music and performance. This scene always remained in my memory from childhood, even though I couldn't consciously remember seeing the film at that age. Avoid the 1990's VHS which has a lot of 'skips' and defects in the print. I'm assuming this is the DVD?
The greatest opening Fanfare of any film ever made! Tho it was first introduced in The Adventures of Robin Hood, the 'Shadowfight' backdrop on the walls reached its zenith in the closing scene as Thorpe (Flynn) battles Wolfingham (Heny Daniell) thru the Queen's palace. Splendid special effects! ruclips.net/video/brvM41Q2haA/видео.html
Copyrights...It's a shame they've done this to the audience at large. I remember when we could watch this every time it popped up on TV as a child. Love Errol Flynn!
Sea Witch: "Yes!" Upload the movie!!! Our children are our future. They need all the good knowledge & education from old Europe so they can be strong & carry on our blood forever & ever & ever. Knowledge is Power. To bad ALL the schools are shut down. Good luck to the young generation cuz knowledge is POWER!
One of the three truly great films that Errol Flynn made, the other two being The Adventures of Robin Hood and Captain Blood.
Errol Flynn made a hell of a lot more than three great films. If you had said fifteen you still wouldn't be close

+Numinous20111 Yes, I did get this from the DVD. Thanks for the comment.
Yes, thank you for posting this excellent quality scene. It's suspenseful and evocative and this scene retains its power 77 years later.

This movie needs to be colorized.
+Spartaculus Jones I respectfully disagree. The black-and-white cinematography is beautiful and perfect for the movie.
Spartaculus Jones no it has to be in the original black and white, the way the director made it.
Hell no we won't go. Black and white and please god no!!
