    My favorite game from my childhood. Lasker's second offer of the rook was made without a computer! Three offers of the rook stands the test of time. The arch wizard.

    This game really earned its spot in the best of the pre-1900s list. I wonder what we'll be seeing for the top 4? The immortal game? The evergreen game? The Opera game? Something amazing I've never heard of?

    Why don't we get such interesting positions with novel absurd moves in today's games. they just seem more dry...
