Awesome video Mr. Norcross. You and your guys and gals are very talented martial artist. Thank you once again for putting these little gems up for us who enjoy the modern as well as the old ways. I believe that you need to study both to be a well rounded martial artist.
saying that metal is better, I agree but disagree as well. I have a wooden one I've carried since the 80's and it is still in great shape. Plus I have never had to worry about metal detectors. In fact I actually went to a presidential candidate's speech once with my wooden kubotan on me. A metal one would not have passed and it would have been taken away from me. Plus a "piece of wood" seems less dangerous, too most, than a piece of metal.
Have you brought it onto a plane? I'm too nervous about having it confiscated if seen on the machine, or certainly if put into a tray with my change, etc.
Kubutan was s japanes for short stick while kali or short stick in our dialect in mindanao,Ph,island it was used to harvest crops as well as for selfdefence while you are in the rural areas.
yarawa or kubton and kubton spike can be done in same matter you force down behind elbow and also pressure point as wil and joint lock but kubton spike have be careful pear's skin that some kubton spike have ball end one sharp spike and ball strike end sharpie pen little stick flash light thumb up on your video i love it ps you can do a chock out if last resort
Ok very very interesting ! I like the power you applied on the take downs. I'm a security guard and very armed and one of my tools I trust 1,000% is my kuboton. But here your basically using can I say a small staff ? I mean I think that's neat ! Sorry if I'm wrong but I do understand there is so many sizes and styles and some that basically put you out out ? Very sharp ? Just not for the bad guy. I use them more then mace or tazar gun.
Beautiful! I’m glad someone is showing people something realistic that they can use to defend themselves.
such an awesome weapon, simple, easy to carry, easily overlooked. There are even tactical pens that you can get these days that really write.

They started selling kubotans in the 80s but no one took them seriously. To bad cuz they are very effective.
Certainly better than fists only for sure.
This is not for kids
