Particle Beam weapons are the best because they have a weird oversight. They benefit from the Ballistics perk, the laser perk and the Particle Beam perk itself. I wasn't sure if this works like that but yes it actually does. So a particle Beam rifle like Eternity's Gate, which also benefits from the rifle perk, easily out damages every other gun in the game. Especially if you got it at NG+10. If has so much damage it two shoots elite enemies on level 96 on very hard. Absolutely busted.
So you’re telling me ALL THREE generic weapon type upgrades benefit particle weapons??? No way, that can’t be true can it? Also don’t forget the sniper perk level 4 adds an additional 50% when looking down a scope (assuming the inflictor can be outfitted with a scope).
Depends on your definition of 'Early'. The Va'Ruun weapons won't appear in vendors(Starshard; Trade Authority, Neon Tactical, Centaurian Arsenal, Zuri’s Essentials) or drops(Inflictor) until after level 30-35. The MagSniper is also level-locked to levels 35+(Kore Kinetics on Neon). [EDIT] As far as most players are concerned, Level 30 is NOT early game. It is, at best, late Mid-game. For most players who do not grind levels, levels 30-40 are endgame levels. If you do almost all quests, you will hit the endgame around level 35-40. So, 35 is definitely not early-game. I would say levels 1-15 are early game, Levels 16-30 are midgame, and levels 31-40 are late-game. Levels 40+ are for NG+.
@@dylan10237 You can get drops of MagSniper at level 30. You can't 'purchase' MagSniper off a merchant until level 35. As far as most players are concerned, Level 30 is NOT early game. I love my Beowulf. Other than the Particle Beam weapons, the Beowulf is top-notch. But I ultimately know it's just my placeholder until I'm able to get that Inflictor Rifle or Eternity's Gate lol.
@samsoniteman yah mines .50 cal, 230 damage, no rarity. It'll be my placeholder too until I find or make something better, always hunting for a legendary beowulf
Magsniper is so good. After ranking up guncrafting fully in tandem with 1st rank of special project to unlock the last research for guns. My magsniper is at 500 now after installing dmg mods
Only problem with equinox is that its bugged. It currently cannot drop an advanced variant, only refined, so the orion out damages it at higher levels.
Magshear is also a very solid Rifle. can get one for free in Hopetown at the weapon shop near Hope Tech forgot the name but there's 2 on shelves that you can steal if you can get out of people's view (make you sell and repurchase so if you get your stolen stuff taken you're not losing your main weapon). just need .50 MI Array Ammo for them and they just melt your opponents but I know there are stronger weapons late game this is a great option early game since you can get it for free it's my go to tactic.
Novablast might be the best non lethal "sniper" gun but, in other hand pacifier if you turn it into EM damage will be better non lethal weapon you just need to mod and have shotgun and crit perk. It has better ammo and only loses 30% damage (mitigated with crit because each pellet can crit for quadruple damage)
If you’re talking dps and not just damage per shot the aa-99 and Beowulf are both very good. Binary trigger regulator is very good at deleting single targets. Breach is very good slap on slugs and a suppressor and you have a god tier sniper.
Magshot is probably the best weapon in the game that you can use with some regularity due to ammo availability. Its dps gets absolutely bonkers when you mod it out completely. Mine atm deals 332 dmg per shot and it shoots all 6 bullets within half a second because its good idea to make pistol that powerful full auto. (Btw only have rank 4 pistol and rank 1 ballistic, not even maxed out damage and it has higher damage than shotguns). So long as you can get Shattering Advanced Magshot, you're golden. Not even high level terramorphs came out unscathed.
So i was reloading saves to get good loot one is with furious refined big bang with 66 phys damage and 196 engy damage and the other save is a titanuim modified advanced magshot its dmg is 173 and it has instigating(double dmg to full health) and full auto as well as Armour percing rounds im lvl 14 found them in lvl 35 planet i imagine they will both take me to end game but my problem is ammo which is the easiest to find and if so where?
@@joshuam3903 they are more or less same rarity. I have more of Big Bang ammo but thats also because i dont use it nearly as often. If you want to use them more often you have to buy all the ammo from vendors when you visit them each time. Dont worry though, game has enough money laying around that wont be a problem. I'm lvl 39 atm, had around 1.3m credits without any farming method (just loot weapons and armor which have the highest value to weight ratio by at least an order of magnitude). Also you may want to put some points into pistol specialization, since unlike other weapon groups it goes up to 50% more damage instead of 30%, which is why magshot is even better. Also try to farm shattering advanced magshot if possible. (you can do it by saving before killing enemies that have that white armor bar above their head, guaranteed to get rare/v.rare/legendary item in accordance to their level). Only enemies that are troublesome to high damage weapons like magshot or breach shotgun(which essentially is a sniper with slug rounds) is the armor migitation which shattering will ignore. I use my legendary breach for long range shots and magshot for CQB and switch to other weapons for fun or when i start to go low on ammo.
fire rate in starfield is not rounds per minute, rather rounds per 10s which is a bizarre way of doing it. a razorback has a fire rate of 12, if it was rpm you would be firing a shot every 5 seconds which is not actually what happens. I don't know why Bethesda chose to do fire rate this way

Why is the Va'ruun Inflictor considered better then the Va'ruun Starshard? I don't see it. The Va'ruun Starshard does more dps with burst fire mod on it. It is also easier to aim with, because it has less recoil.
Starfield needs like 100 more weapons. Seriously, considering how fast the worlds are and we have what 10 we will actually use? Kinda sucks if you ask me.
I am so pissed I found a legendary 800 damage mag sniper, fast traveled to another planet got killed in space, and now don’t have it and the pirates won’t drop it again, I’m so pissed lol
The Magsniper seems extremely underwhelming. At least on very hard. So many enemies can tank more than one shot, so then you are charging the thing and the targets are running around and it's just a pain. The fire rate stat means nothing, as you have to charge to max to get the shown damage. I feel like a Lawgiver just does the same thing better. A Hard Target or VSS then do what the Lawgiver does, better.

The last one. 100%. Advanced (I'm at lvl 89.) This thing has about 270 energy hit and 60 physical. Hitman perk with it. Just walking through level 100 enemies.
