  • If you're a homelab enthusiast using OPNSense for your router, DNS and DHCP and would like to experiment with OKD or OpenShift. You probably need to add the required DNS entries:
    docs.okd.io/4....
This can be entirely achieved through the advanced configuration:
    docs.opnsense....
In this video, I provide a quick look at how I got Unbound DNS configured on OPNSense to work with my SNO OKD node. I go over a couple of issues I had while setting it up, and ultimately arrive at the end solution I'm using.

Great video as always. Wondering if you'd make a video on okd using SCOS. Fedora CoreOS is getting retired if I'm not wrong? You're the Redhatter, you would know of ofcourse...

      Hey, thanks for the feedback.
I can probably make that video. I’ll need to upgrade my home OKD deployment to the latest SCOS release once things stabilise. So that might be a good opportunity to talk about it at that point.

I had the same issue and google brought me to this video, i have also read the documentation and a couple of forum posts but not really upful, based on your video i have solve my issue. Unfortunately if you use the same domain as in "System->Settings->General->Domain" and you set a wildcard * with the same domain on Unbound DNS, then it will crash. So change the domain in the system settings or use a different (sub)domain for unbound.

Nice one! Im glad you solved it.
Thanks for a the heads up about the system domain too! I can see why that might cause some trouble.

Hey, Fedora Silverblue and the terminal in this video is called “Blackbox”: flathub.org/apps/com.raggesilver.BlackBox
I’ve recently switched back to Alacritty though. So future videos will be Alacritty. :) I found Blackbox was periodically becoming unresponsive and I prefer the broad configurability of Alacritty. Plus its multi-platform. So I can use the same config on Fedora and my Mac.
