That was one thing I was glad to see on this 3rd gen. That intellipark is just another electrical issue waiting to happen. Southland made the right decision on getting the regular parking brake knob!
@@southernbustransportation I didn’t know that was even a option to get the normal knob. Knowing us hating Intellipark and only getting it when the knob isn’t available or by driver preference we will probably only have the knobs in our third gen.
@@southernbustransportation I bet my district got the typical parking brake knob. Intellipark sounds like a horrible idea. If it fails and the bus ends up rolling down a hill and crashing that would suck or if the driver passed out while driving and you try to pull the knob and it fails that could be very bad.
I was so scared for this moment because I thought Alabama was going to do something dumb.. and luckily I have been proved wrong lol. This looks awesome
Its a nice bus! The best part is, regular parking brake knob! It is very important that the bus dealers stays away from "electric" parking brake knobs which are just a electrical issue waiting to happen!
It's a brand new 2025 IC CE with the Cummins B6.7 and it looks very amazing and in my county they might deliver the new 3rd Generation CE in my county in Georgia and i will draw one of them soon
Thanks for the comment! My district is ordering a new bus in August so it may be a 3rd gen. Very excited but very curious!! I do know it will be a handicap bus so that is a fact! 👍
0:07 I realized that this spec has a ton of black on the headlights as opposed to the normal white headlights that I’ve seen on other videos of 2025 models. I actually like how it looks and I like that IC has taken the Thomas route for allowing their customers to choose darker headlights Edit: with more research, I found out that the black headlights, for example the ones shown in this video, use halogen bulbs. The white headlights use leds instead. It’s pretty neat taking a deeper look and comparing the two, because they are actually very different headlights
Wow. That's interesting! Didn't even realize that. I also noticed the gauge cluster on this bus looks different than most of the 3rd gens (correct me if I'm wrong)
@@southernbustransportation Yes it appears that you’re correct. I checked and IC markets the other gauge cluster as their “premium” gauge cluster with the 5in display. Seems like IC is trying to make the new gen CE as modular as possible to create opportunities for customers to opt out of features and save money since buses have been getting really expensive
I don’t think our district is getting any because we just got our 2023 IC CE w 8.8L Gas (530) but I think we’re getting more 2023 IC CEs or so idk. But I think the rest of the 2023s are going to be Chevy Microbirds and Chevy Collins. Or maybe we will get the 2024s 1st and then the 2025s but idk yet
We are supposed to be getting a new bus ordered in August but I hope its a 2nd gen so that if there is any issues with the 3rd gens, those problems will get sorted out with the next batch of new buses. Just my guess!
Yeah, it's usually just the front that got a complete make-over. I like it, but it just looks weird because of how the front doesn't really match the rear.
Got to go on a work trip to Southland Transportation since we were there to pick up 3 buses since they had roof leak repairs done. I got to look around the lot for a good bit and managed to see some 3rd gens! It was a awesome experience 🙂👍
Where was the air conditioned school buses at when I was a kid? Our AC was the window.. and depending who the driver was? They would only allow every other window open.
And... another 3rd Gen CE without a light monitor on the front header board. Are they just gonna do away with Doran and SoundOff and not put monitors in?
We have a 2021-2022 model CE with the light monitor but it is our only bus left with the light monitor. I think they are becoming un-popular with the new orders today sadly! I really like the light monitors a lot so it is a bummer.
@@southernbustransportationit looks like a base model MV. I think this is the Standard cluster for the buses. The demo units usually have the ones with more of a facelift.
I hope my district gets the last of the 2nd gens so that if there is any issues with 3rd gens, they get sorted out with the next batch of new buses. 3rd gens may need more time with quality improvements once they hit the road but we will see!
There was a bus in the lot that had a illuminated school bus sign. It was a bus from Cullman County I believe. It looked very fancy! I wished I would of filmed it since it was VERY nice
Looks beautiful! I wonder how it would look with a chrome grille
There's no chrome grille. Only a chrome surround
Sure does look good! Really excited to see the variety of specs for these 3rd gens 🙂
YES! this one doesn’t have the InShittipark, just the regular knob

The 2025 Thomas C2s in my district had issues with the InShittipark. Where the breaks randomly apply,
Nice & can't wait for my district to buy these.
We may be getting one ordered in August! It will take a while for it to get here though. Very curious! It could be a 3rd gen... time will tell!

2:05 The AC Units looks similar to Morris Hills Regional District Bus 92, I was on that bus and I saw the same type of AC Units, but it's Pro Air.
Finally they’ve rolled out the LEDs in them
It's about time they did a face-lift on these IC CE looks sharp

Sooo lucky 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 how u managed to even get by one 😭
Go to an IC dealer. That's how I found one.
