If you’re ever in KONA on the BIG ISLAND of HAWAII, I highly recommend the MANTA RAY NIGHT SNORKEL. It was seriously one of my most unforgettable travel experiences!!
At night, the manta rays feed on the plankton in the area so it’s the perfect time to see them in their natural habitat. We tried our best to remain still and to not touch them as they swam past us, but they literally swam inches away from our faces! We spent an hour face to face with these majestic gentle giants as they gracefully danced in the ocean.
This footage is taken from our Big Island trip from several years ago. Please enjoy over 7 mesmerizing minutes of the manta ray nocturnal ballet!

Yes. Yes. Yes!!! This is definitely one of the coolest things I have seen...all those fishes swimming around. I think that part of me would be scared, but man on man you talk about a lifetime experience! Are manta rays the same as sting rays? They have that stinger on the back...
Yes absolutely wonderful, i did it in Florida x
@@LivingfortheCity Manta rays do not have a stinger like stingrays...so they would not hurt divers or snorkelers. They are definitely very gentle, curious creatures!

That was really cool. I am about to learn how to scuba dive while here in Thailand. It looked like you were snorkeling because I see no bubbles. This is so cool. I have seen manta rays before but never upclose. I’ve tried snorkeling with baby bamboo sharks tho and it was a lot of fun. Will have to try this out when I get the chance to go home

This place is beautiful. Not only that, it’s relaxing and soothing. We have big sea worlds like that in the USA. I love the dolphins. The are peaceful beings.
