Wagner's TechTalk how many PlayStation one games does it come with? Does it come with a few or does it come with the lot? Does it have Einhander? Is there a really 10,000 games built into it right out of the box as advertised?
The legend! I just got one of these, and I'm finding all you cool folks as a result. Such a cool and wonderful community. The OS is basically Linux, and I like to pronounce it Dingus 🙃
You can definitely get lost in time with this device. It's just super fun. You don't even have to be actually playing a game, an hour or so can fly by while you're just exploring stuff.
Thanks for your excellent review. MAME roms often come zipped. Do you have to physically unzip them and create a folder to put them in for them to run or is this ok to read in the zipped file?
I just got to the bubble bobble part 🙈 wow would you believe me when I say I'm waiting on a RG350m due to this game! And a few others.. which were my prime target! Anyway... I'm here to understand what I've just bought lol 😁 learning more with each vid, they really are amazing machines!! Enjoyed the video still watching..
Great review, thanks. Can you tell me if these can be charged by plugging then into a usb wall charger, and if so, does it have to be a certain rating? Thanks.
Hi Danny, they can be charged by plugging into a USB wall plug, sorry, not sure what rating is needed. I have charged it through a usb external hard drive though.
This is an excellent review. Thank you for taking the time to create it. Your experience was the same as mine, with the same overwhelmed feeling at first. Then, I discovered Wagner's TechTalk and that took me on the right journey to make the best of the unit. It was nice to see you play Sonic, as I owned an original GameGear not long after they were first released (I'm old!). Maybe we need a dedicated site like retroldfarts.com or something for this 😂 If you've not tried out the ZX Spectrum (48k/128/+2/+3), C64, Amiga, Atari ST emulators, give them a go!
I would be careful using that reset button constantly. It's meant more as a last resort option if the app or emulator doesn't work or it locks up. It can corrupt the internal SD card that contains the OS, and I have had to reflash the internal card after using the reset too much. Please exit the emulators properly using start + select to open up the options for most emulators and exit. Also power the systems off correctly and be careful it doesn't lose charge while playing as this can also corrupt the SD card as well.
Nice little system. I personally use the GPD XD handheld which is pretty amazing also. For the big screen I use Nvidia shield TV. No slow down whatsoever with the Tegra chip.
@@JulesBurt The GPD XD can handle N64 mostly along with some PlayStation Portable but the Nvidia Shield is the Rolls Royce. You can throw most anything at it. A few tweaks to certain emulators does help as well with certain games.
Jules Burt sequel is odd. It has way upgraded graphics and a slew of new levels... but it also has several levels repeated from the first entry, if I recall. It was developed as a tie in for a movie, while the film was still in the script stage. but the film was delayed, retooled, and then sat on the shelf after production. So the game came out YEARS before the film and then they made a sequel game to coincide with the film’s release.
@@JulesBurt thanks, I take it its just a drag and drop the emulator to the external card then? Where can I find the emulators, (edit ah just got the the part about adding emulators) thanks.
I'd like to have one of these but Amazon doesn't say that it comes with built-in games. My computer is broken and I cannot afford to take it to the shop, so where is the best place to buy one with built-in games?
Steven, the exact one I link to in the description comes with about 2500 games preinstalled on the memory card which comes with it. If it days it comes with the card, it will have game time on it. I guess they just don't want to shout about it.🙂
I ordered one and it came with the 32gb card but I had no games included except the ones under the Games tab. When I go into the different emulators, and go into the card I have no lists of any games. It's just my luck really :/
@@JulesBurt from bittboy dot com if my memory serves. I ordered it around Christmas as they were having a great deal with the carrying case included. When I booted up, no games. I was working 2 jobs so i never had the time to sit and download all the games.
I have to look hard but found some available through a Reddit group. Totally free and in the standard format. Out of the ones I've tried so far, only about a quarter work😒
@@Wailordlover I have SMLand runs really well. I was a little worried about showing Nintendo properties, but everyone else seems to do it so I guess it's ok.🙂
I bought one as a gift for someone, but the languages in menu and the games are mostly chinese even though i've changed the setting to english, the seller are now saying that i need to install some kind of firmware and they cannot help me with it, and i really dont know how. Might have to return this which is such a shame.

So good i have 2..different colours..game boy can be made full screen with scaler. Also Scummvm and Spectrum can be used..Quake 2 can use both sticks and its great set up..droix.net recommended
I've been having a blast playing old arcade games with FBA and Mame4all. Aliens and AVP for example run flawlessly. Gotta find the right romsets, but when you do, you have several hundred titles to keep busy with.
You need to stop using the reset button so much. This is like a computer operating system where you need to shut it down properly an exit out of the programs are using their exit functions at least that’s from what I’ve heard from many sources that you will corrupt the memory card or screw the first thing up
The different emulators have different ways to exit the app and get back to the menu. I've never had a problem with mine thankfully, but I do know what you're saying, you need to be careful.
Why do so many people think the phrase I don't care it's an insult it's not they probably think it means I don't trust you I hate you what it means is that they do not care one way or the other

Thanks Ashwyn, my pleasure, follow up videos to come next week.

Awsome review 💯
Just got mine today. With 32gb card. Totally love it 👍

Is the 32g overkill or should i be fine with the 16
I would even get a 64gb if offered!

Hi Jules, great review. Where is the best place to get roms from. There are a few games I want that might not be on there
I can't link but just Google free game ROMs. You'll have plenty of choice.
