Great video Jeff. Appreciate it. I would have picked up the five inch just thinking it was better. I’m loving trails but I don’t think I’ll ever be one to fly through them. I’ll go as fast as I can but the six inch would be my pick now. Because I rode street vomiting or just cruising 90% of the time. Thanks again Jeff
Put that Gold 5" on Pre-order today. Going to look sick with the cutsom RTJ grip tape. Jeff you talked about suspension but didnt specifically mention bonkability of the 5" hub. You get air more with the 5"?
Ive seen videos of you on the 5" Burris and the 555 Enduro. Which one did you prefer, any others and why? Looking for a lady in the street but a freak in the bed.
Appreciate the video Jeff. Have been considering a 5” hub for a while but probably sticking with a 6” now. I’m assuming using the 6” hub minimizes or eliminates the unstable or “sitting too high”feeling you get from a GT 6.5” stock hub right? I’ve tried WTF rails on the GT stock hub and still feel like I’m somewhat awkwardly higher and unstable than when I’m on my XR.
It looks like you are making both a 5.8 and a 6.3-inch wide 5 inch diameter hub Does the 5 inch Hub feel more squirrely because of the 5.8 inch width of the hub making the profile of whichever Tire you choose become more rounded. Does the 6.3-inch wide Hub create more stability and reduce that squirrely sensation you are talking about?
Hi Jeff, Those rims are sick. I’ll be doing the rim upgrade in mid 2024 appreciate your break down . On the matter of heat dissipation, has anyone used gasket remover to remove the powder coating from the stock GT wheel . I’m getting ready to install a flight fins, goat tire and may remove the powder coating on my rGT rim , With the proper care and masking, beforeI remove the stock threaded GT tire. Seems like it would be an easy fix instead of having to buy cooling blocks. In July I bought my first Onewheel the GT package for $2850, TFL accessories $765 just ordered The lowboy foot pads $195 .
I haven’t heard anyone doing that. We used to stone wash the powder coated stock rails before we had our Tech Rails but you need that extra sidewall! When you can get one of the billets ! Let’s get it 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for this comparison video. I can see from the opening shots that the width of the 5" is less than the 6" and hence the reason the 6" is more stable. What are the widths of the 5" and the 6" hubs?
Jeff what’s your opinion on 5 inch billet tire dimensions . Would a 11.5 x 7 x 5 off road tire work if someone made one or are the TFL 555 tire and Vega rain tire better or easier to control
7’ inches wide too much -‘it rubs too hard. The tfl 555 at low psi is pretty good. But burris is gonna be dropping something very soon that is gonna be FIRE
Yo! A few things. You should make a video on the differences between the original 357 ts and the new 357s? Is it just a lack of axle carriers? And there's less height options? Also, how do I revert to an older software and then back to the new one? Im a racer and the 6 inch seems good bc there's no problems hitting 30 mph and its stable. But you were saying that the 5 inch is for the hardcore trail riders. So what do you recommend. Im pretty sure about the 6 but just wanted a 2nd opinion.
I would go 6 inch first bc you are gonna love it from the jump. You may not care for the 5 but personally I would have both and I can achieve better times with the 5 but it’s a gnarly ride - I think a lot of riders will like 6 for stability but that 5 can be a secret weapon for sure 💨💨💨
@@jeffadairshreds hahah. Maybe something in between the 2? Would love a reason to get the 5 with my old knees and I’m a trail rider anytime it’s half dry.
@@English-J the 7 inch modded would be stable for you. You have to file down the battery cable gland but in straight line it feels ok. I hate the fact I cannot ride lower than 18 psi. I like to ride around 13-15 on 5 inch

Any time Ian! You know we got you ! We love this sport and want to see it keep growing ! Much love on the support!
Thank you for making this video! The professional insight is much appreciated.
Are these compatible with Fl lifesavers?
Salivating for that 6" in silver. Can you explain what the bead lock option is?

She bonk real nice! Put her up to 13-15 psi and I was bonking over 5 skateboards 🤣 she nice 👍

You will be dialed in on the 6. Get something wider like maxxis 6.5(width not diameter) thx you for commenting dude !!! 🎉🎉🎉

We are making 6 inch and 6.4 the 5.8 prototype is great for me but I like the 6.4 better for top speeds on cornering. Thanks for watching 🤘
I have wanted the 6 for awhile now.

Yeah the tires are smaller and it’s less footprint on ground so it’s less stable - thx you for watching video!
@@jeffadairshreds Can you provide the width of the 5" and 6"? Another question - do the Ice Blocks work with both of these wheels?

Jeff I just wanna ask you where did you buy that clip or to hold your foot in your onewheel???

Does anybody know if they make a jig for installing the billet to avoid chipping the magnets
Do you think a different tire shape on the 5 could make it more stable?
We have a skinnier 5 with a huge 7 inch that is more stable but you can’t turn it .

I bet with a different tire, that 5” hub won’t be wobbly at all.
The Burris tire that I like the best kills the other tires dude. The absorption rate on mine vs the others aren’t even fair.
