What you did is amazing. I have followed many cyclists over the years. You are the only woman that I know who did what you did. Of coarse you will feel depress after that great journey. This the most amazing thing anyone could have accomplish. It will be hard for you for a while to figure doing something any greater. Many Olympic Champions go to that type of depression after their final victory. It is normal. The COVID did not help either. But many use that opportunity to realign their career into something related or they love. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. As far as I am concerned, you are my hero.

Hi Jin. I just learned about you and your journey. To be able to move fast and cover long distances on your own steam is such a marvellous thing in my opinion. The bicycle is probably one of the most underrated inventions of mankind.
I lost my legs to polio at the age of 1 and yet have lived a fuller life than most people. I am almost 50 now .
Of all the things I miss not being able to do because of my legs, cycling is top of the list. And here I see you, who has travelled all over the world on a bicycle. You have lived my dream. So do not be disheartened by small failures like this one. We can never have everything we desire. Never. You have done a great job and no, one-third of your life has not been wasted! Great words of wisdom.
I'm 50 years old. If I was suddently diagnosed with something and only had a few hours to live, I would be content to do so. I have traveled so much, seen so much , meet so many people. I've successfully raised a family . I've done enough to cover many lifetimes of others.
However, I am not dying and I am continually writing the story of my life. And will continue to do so until my body says no more. I rode 100km today, and seen towns in my area. Next week, a new day and a new adventure.
Keep up your vlog. And I will check in between the pages of my life.

I think this is one of the most beautiful, honest, and truthful messages I've heard. You have really shown that even without much money almost anyone can travel the world. But most people don't think about the alternative cost of traveling for a long time, which can be very high, as we can never get back the time, or job or life we could have had instead. And it is very difficult when being all alone and feeling like time passed us by. But it will be ok, every life and journey is a beautiful story, and I'm very glad you have chosen to share yours with us. Hopefully you can finish your "trip" with a good feeling, and maybe not tomorrow, or next year, but some day when the world makes more sense, you can start you next trip going north without any borders.
This is a nice poem by Dan Inosanto that your video reminded me of:
"We are all climbing different paths through the mountain of life, and we have all experienced much hardship and strife. There are many paths through the mountain of life, and some climbs can be felt like the point of a knife. Some paths are short and others are long, who can say which path is right or wrong? The beauty of truth is that each path has its own song, and if you listen closely you will find where you belong. So climb your own path true and strong, but respect all other truths for your way for them could be wrong."

Yes, I signed, but I think the timing of Jin’s “campaign launch” was a bit unfortunate. The RUclips algorithm, for one thing, seemed to have dropped Jin, and she herself had a gap in publishing at the start of covid. Many followers from 5 years ago (or more) may have dropped out of the loop. I always thought that all she needed was one person in one Korean embassy around the world to realise what a valuable treasure they had in Jin and the Yellow Canary bike.

Jin, I have only been following your story for 3 weeks and wish I had come across your story a lot earlier. Watching your videos has made me and i sure others realise there is another life out there away from the norm..you areliving the dream through being determined, brave and open minded. I am sorry to hear you say you felt depressed. Maybe you don't realise how your videos have contributed to lifting depression in others. I understand the need for you to go home but the selfish part of me wants you to continue. You have a special gift. The gift to to live a true adventure and the gift to make people happy. Your videos always show you smiling and laughing no matter how bad your situation, that is a quality I wish more people had, including me. Take care. Garfield.. London, UK

Dear Jin, I was touched by your video as I seemed to feel what you felt telling the story. Bike rides eventually come to a destination but the road of life continues on as long are we are here. Along your road you have experienced way more than most who have ever lived. Along the way you have inspired so many (including me) with your courage, determination and strength. As for the people who stayed home and have a job, car and maybe starting a family, while they have good things, they long for the adventure, freedom, and experiences that you have had. So, in truth, no one has it all. You simply are writing a new chapter in the life of Jin.

My mother retired 10 years ago, pre pandemic she would visit 4 or 5 countries every year, she had planned 3 months away last year including nepal, bhutan, vietnam, switzerland and a few others. She completed the continental serena slam (my term for someone that visits all 7 continents in 365 days). Instead of me getting to house sit her house and use the shed to build a boat, covid hit everyone, and she got breast cancer. Moral of the story, always explore, the world is massive and you never know when you will get the chance again. Mums doing well, and has come to terms with the fact her garage is a boat factory so it hasn't been a disaster. Stay safe everyone.

You gained another subscriber and fan. Your down time was not wasted. Every minute of your journey - whether you think it at the time or not - forms part of who you are. The boring hills, the ‘pointless’ riding around waiting for something to happen, all of these moments create your story, your profile, your history. Would have been easy to just give up and fly home. But deep down you knew there was a reason for your place. I look forward to following your journey :)

It's not about the job, house and car... it's about having a fulfilling goal. To have meaning in life. Many 'successful' people have the same struggle, they have it all materially, but without a meaningful goal it still feels empty and pointless. You've achieved your own things, you've cycled around the world, learned to survive independently etc, when you're older that's much more valuable than slaving away for a boss in a dead end job. Live your own life, not the life other people expect you to live!
