Totally agree with you, they're one of my fav bands and they changed my life. Their songs are amazing and their live shows are great. I had the pleasure to meet them once in the backstage and they were super kind and nice, we've spent the night listening to rolling stones and chatting. I'll never forget that evening for the rest of my life!

He was sounding that good, at age sixty something, with aggresion, perfect pitch, nice melodic parts...Dave is one of the most underrated talents ever. This guy has been composing songs ranging from good to fabulous for thirty fucking years, he´s tremendously charismatic, an interesting character, created a lyrical, thematic universe for his band...

@@machomaam4975That's not really true. Monolithic is a GREAT album, 4 Way Diablo only has two bad songs out of thirteen, and Last Patrol was quite a return to form. Obviously, nothing will ever top the first three albums, but as rock bands go, and given the multiple line up changes over the years, and Dave nearly dying, the project has held up really well.
When they were writing this album, my band was rehearsing at the same studio as them. I remember hearing Dave working on this song one night. I kept thinking that he had a hit song on his hands when he was playing it over and over.

@TheHugegrin To me the lyrics are part of what make this band so awesome. They are abstract, they are different, and maybe they don't make sense to some people. That's what lyrics should be like, in my opinion. Because when your lyrics are vague or abstract people can find their own meaning. To me that's much better than "My girl dumped me and this life is hell" or "I had a bad day and now I want to break stuff". Lyrics should be creative, that's what a lot of these musicians today don't get.
