Wait til you get to their debut...its gonna blow you away with how good it is. The thing is, with a lot of kpop there's just so many layers to the music it needs to be appreciated thru headphones for the full experience. I saw this mv a while back but didnt realize how good the beats were til I heard it thru headphones later. Twice is that special convergence of talent and timing, serendipity. Just like brave girls and their song rollin, ita so good but it took special circumstances for them to catch on days before the girls were to disband. Great reaction and povs.👍

I think it’s totally fine for the rappers to be cute and not always “hard.” Back before gangster rap took over and reshaped the aesthetic and attitude of rap in the early/mid-90s, rap was often very fun and playful (think Run DMC, Slick Rick, DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, Biz Markie, etc). Really, rap isn’t a persona but rather just a different, rhythmic way of saying words.
being born in the mid 80s im glad i have watched rap go through so many phases. I am glad that its not as cheesy anymore, but i still appreciate all different styles of rap

I don't blame you for not liking Twice yet, coming from a metal background, they would not be my recommendation to start in kpop.
