agreed! I marvel at God's math! My husband is a programmer and he says its all math and if/then's. Golden ratio, fractals, orbitals, frame rate, static, entropy... its amazing!
Man, I love seeing these Little Rocks turn into beautiful gems in the hands of a master craftsman! That is beautiful! Saxon has a great teacher just like you did! ❤
Justin your videos are my wind down before sleeping. They help quiet my mind and I become mesmerized by the whole process. Keep up the great content 👍🏻
I've enjoyed watching your son grow from that giggling young boy to the the young man he has become. And you not knowing if he'd follow your foot steps and continue the family business. But you had to make the decision to allow him space to make up his own mind to let it be his decision and I know that the uncertainty was difficult on you as a father who only wanted what's best for him. I think he realized that this business can give him the freedom to still do the things he loves also and the lifestyle he enjoys. It's got to be a relief and such a rewarding feeling and you can take pride in his coming of age and the fact the family business can continue to thrive. Especially with him showing such potential and great instincts for cutting and marketing. I started watching many years ago (formerly "ear to the ground") and have learned as well so thanks for bringing us along on your family's journey starting all the way back when you used flat laps and sandpaper disks and the big black curtains!!
Beautiful finished piece, I love the colour. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills over the years! You really have no idea how much it is helped!
Lovely mysterious purple! 😍 It's so great that you're son will follow your footsteps. I hope there will be more generations after him that say "I'm going in!"...
I feel like I say this to myself every time I watch one of your videos, despite all of the colors Opal can show being amazing. When Opal reflects blue light, it is the bluest blue I've ever seen.
Great gem! Personally, I mostly prefer the subtle mono-colored or dual-colored ones over the top price gems that look like a bomb went off in a candy store. I work with silver a lot and a gem like that creates a better harmony with the metal than one that looks like a fossilized unicorn fart, because those are so vibrant in and of themselves, it makes it really hard to compliment and enhance it by setting it in anything. That's just my personal aesthetic perception, of course. Great job as always, Justin.
Amazing colour. The colours and patterns of opal never fails to impress me! But you need a legend like yourself to take a rough stone and bring it to life!
That piece is as wonderful and amazing as the music and your craftsmanship. This video was a work of art again and you absolutely outdid yourself, doing the stone and the great master Bach and his cello suite nr 1 justice. Absolutely phenomenal video, and phenomenal taste to pair such a timeless gem with such a timeless music. It is always a good moment when you upload, yet this time, it's an experience of pure zen and transcendence.

Watching your technique and artistry is amazing. I had a relative whose favorite stone to work on was the Australian Opal. His designs were quite in demand here in the states. Truly enjoy watching you and passing your talent on to your son.
That blue/purple flash is mesmerizing. Plus it seems to have a bit of almost everything--pinfire, flagstone, some broad-flash and even a little straw-pattern. Love this one!
Remember the old silicon carbide wheels? Making sure to use the whole of the surface so not to wear out the centre? I still have some of those in a box. Love to get a decent set of equipment, Blimming expensive here in NZ. And you are the best at what you do Justin. Your dad would be proud.
Having watched you cut many different opals the years, this one is my favorite. Not the most expensive one or the most colorful but i feel it is the most beautiful one. I love the deep blue and the hint of purple is the perfect mix of color. But, I am a little biased as blue is my favorite color. Thank you for sharing this one with us.
Absolutely mesmerising! And the gentle music in the background was quite beautify. We all sincerely hope that you’re going to be around for a good while! Sending greetings to all the BOD ‘family’ from England.
Beautiful opal. Justin's Justice! Nice camera work, too. Thank you yet again for letting us watch you at work. Greetings from the Little Desert area of Victoria. 😊
I think this colour of Opal is very underrated..i have a couple of very small ones but people still notice them maybe more than my multi coloured ones ..nature is so amazing in her creating of these wonders that then the" Opal Master Justin " ..lol..tweaks a little so we can show them off
I just love that deep blue/purple on black. Don’t get me wrong, love them reds/blues on black with other colors as well, but a nice one like this is got a special place in my brain for some reason lol
Thank you for sharing the knowledge of cutting opals. Im not a fan of this colour combination personally (I do have a few pieces so I dont hate it 👍) but this is a really sweet gem opal.
Oz should be clear and warm now. In TN it is clear and sunny with a blue sky. The temp is 30 degrees F or about 0 Centigrade. I looked at the trees and not a twig or leaf was moving. Everything is utterly still.
l learn't a very long time ago don't judge a book by it's cover. Such beauty comes from inside. What a absolute stunning opal. Great job justin.
I absolutely love how the milky black turns blue as it comes into the light, it's so amazing. Opal is hands down the most beautiful gemstone on earth!

I do agree with you and opals are beautiful gems 👋💎👍!
Justin, I never tire of watching how you methodically cut each opal so carefully. What a beautiful blue opal!!!

Wow, the color on that stone is phenomenal even before you started cutting!

Wow! Beauty! At first glance the raw piece looked a bit like lapis lazuli.
THAT'S my favorite color of black opal! BEAUTIFUL!

Oh Wow 😮, the purple flashes are stunning. Almost like looking at the comos in a gem❤
Simply marvelous! I was holding my breath when you decided to cut the stone, but wowza, marvelous!!!
I think a compilation video of both your biggest wins and biggest losses would be cool content, if you ever get bored

The Ocean Opal
Stunning 😍
So glad Saxon will keep BOD alive for another generation ✨🥂✨
That deep blue with the slightly visible magenta highlights is stunning. You did a fantastic job on this piece.🤙🤙🤙🤙✨
Thanks so much 😊
A lovely piece of blue black opal cut by your hands
That stone at the mid point was looking like a heart. It was stunning by the end. Thanks for showing your craft.
Just bought some rough to practice grinding and polishing by hand because of your videos.
Loved the deep color of this opal !

I would absolutely love this on a pinky ring, I think I would spend most of my days hypnotized by it.

Beautiful 😮
What depth that opal shone after you cut it! Kind of a mysterious quality about it too!
Stunning stone ❤
Wow! Thanks for that post on FB, Justin. 🤔 How about a boulder Opel next? You mostly show us "it'sy bitsy spiders".
Truly a dream opal
Very pretty!
Thank you! 😊
Wow wow wow ! ….. And why you’re the master ….
Beautiful ❤
Thank you for sharing the knowledge of cutting opals. Im not a fan of this colour combination personally (I do have a few pieces so I dont hate it 👍) but this is a really sweet gem opal.
For a minute, I thought you were going to cut a heart-shaped gem. The oval shaped stone turned out beautifully with deep blue and Violet? hues.
Oz should be clear and warm now. In TN it is clear and sunny with a blue sky. The temp is 30 degrees F or about 0 Centigrade. I looked at the trees and not a twig or leaf was moving. Everything is utterly still.
Beautiful✌️♥️♥️
The special effects artists in movies must get their ideas of what alien world's look like from the fantastic patterns in opals.
Wonderful music! From whom is it? Combines so nicely with the video!!
It comes from Artlist copywritten music
Amazing
I got worried when you took out the slicer 😂
looked like camera showed some color in the middle of the first piece you sliced off worth seeing if it goes all through ?
