The “Jack in the Box” story reminded me of the old Friday the 13th TV series of the late 1980s. It primarily concerned a paranormal shop that collected cursed objects that influenced ordinary people to do evil. They collected the objects and placed them in a locked vault inside the shop. Neutralizing the evil.
*Nebraska Farmhouse* I live in Nebraska. A friend of mine saw this farmhouse first hand. (never went into fortunately) He said he would drive past & circle around to drive past again in a repeated fashion. One pass it would be fine, the next pass it would be on fire & the cloaked figures would be around it. He repeated this several times until the final time we passed it again it had disappeared entirely. There was no house at all. My blood froze upon hearing such a similar account of this house.

Both these stories (the South Dakota, and the NY dark alleyway) ones are something that’ll scare the living daylight’s out of anyone.. The SD story is something straight out of perhaps a dean koontz type of novel where v have dark figures lurking in the shadows and unexplained accidents happening, which in this case is the apparent burning down of the house but the protagonist escaping it in the Nick of time... The jack in the box incident’s way too scary!!!... who’d imagine a simple contraption would be the base for coulrophobia!!!.. the way it manipulates itself to various positions and torments the owner until the box is thrown and it transforms into a winged thing is fantastic!!. Dark forces will always be there just like u have the “sons of light”, shall we call the dark forces “lucifer” or the “sins of belial”?. Maybe but they’re energy orbs who as u rightly said Feed off our negative perceptions/thoughts and our positive thoughts Help us get through the situation by inflicting harm on them.. one doesn’t need to be part of an “organised religion” to understand/experience this... one rightly has to be spiritual and not religious..
