I had the same issue. The solution is this, open “Windows services” or “Services” app > find the service name “MySQL80” (name maybe different) > right click and select ‘Start’. Open MySQL Command Line App and enter your password, Now try and reconnect on PopSQL

Are you trying to use PopSQL? I had a hard time with that so I used MySQL Workbench. Slightly different interface, but much less headache connecting to the local MySQL server.

Hey i found out my mistake. You filled the wrong details while linking the database in PopSQL app. Check the name of the database once

Make sure your mysql server is running. Im not sure how to do this in windows, in Mac it appears on the front page of settings
