As someone who use to be a tyre fitter. No this is not a permanent fix and do not do this as a permanent fix. Things like these are designed to get you out of trouble until you can get to a tyre shop and get a permanent fix done, a permanent fix is done with a what is nicknamed a mushroom plug (I can't remember the proper name for it), the plug is pulled through from the inside of the tyre, the stem comes through the hole and the head covers the area around the puncture from the inside.
I like the old rubber ones better tbh. Not because they do a better job But because they’re just more satisfying to watch as they’re not a literal tire porno.

This really works. Im a senior citizen, a widow + live alone i have wonderful neighbors.. 2 months ago i had a big nail in tire, my neighbor had this and plugged that hole up. My tire still going, like i never ran over the nail
I recommend getting it changed asap. It's more of a temporary fix and, if driven for the long term, could even blow the tire since the integrity has been compromised. Please be safe out there. If money is an issue, look for a used tire shop. You should be able to get a replacement for around $45 USD.
There's a lot of unwarranted fear about plugging tires. So long as it's a simple puncture and not a tear, a tire plug done correctly will outlast the tire it's in.

We rightfully believe that this is a temporary repair! so what - the client should have such a set in his travel case!! - If his hands do not grow out of his ass - he took them out, repaired them, and came to the service center, where they will competently repair him with a full range of measures, including a patch with cord filler, if necessary!!!
