  • Another Kiln Unloading at the Wearhouse!
Here’s a kiln full of Bill’s work - hope you enjoy! Let us know what you think and where you’re from! We’re down here in Rome, Georgia dreaming of snow. Or spring. But down here, spring comes with pollen, which is NO FUN.
Also no fun is losing years of glaze combos, forms, and pictures of finished pots. Jenny’s phone died and with it went her Pottery Log app info. She did back it up, but something went wrong and she’s lost everything. Sigh. She chooses to look at it as an opportunity to create a fresh slate and be excited about it rather than upset. Well, she’s working on that, anyway.
Anyway, we’ve got more videos coming your way soon. Jenny received some fun things in the mail from De La Design (deladesigngifts.com/), so that will be a video when she gets a chance to play after our first show. EXCITING!
Since Jenny’s phone died, we filmed this on the iPad and it isn’t in the format we meant. Sorry about that - we’re still figuring this out!

It’s always fun to see a kiln opening and to see how other potters glaze. I’m in the NW corner of Oregon.

Oh, I know that must be BEAUTIFUL! I have family in Washington State and love every minute I get to visit! (This is Jenny, by the way)

Great kiln load!! Maybe next time you could put the phone so the video shows bigger rather than the sides being black. Couldn’t see the pots verry well. That really red is absolutely amaaazing! And the big white bowl is also gorgeous. The brown clay is sooo glorious!! I have worked a tiny bit with brown and red clay but the staining is so hard to deal with. I handbuild and haven’t learned to throw yet and do a lot of my work in the house so the red and brown are just for small things for me.

Yep. We filmed the wrong way...and that Terra Red gets EVERYWHERE! We'll keep working on improving our video quality. Thanks for sticking with us!

@@WearhouseCreationsPottery Of course! I know filming and getting it right is a whole process. I have filmed a lot of my kiln openings but something is always wrong with them and I’ve never actually posted one. Maybe one day.

Looks a lot like Coyote light blue shino. I'm in Biloxi, MS. On the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.
