i am Chinese, and an avid Basketball/AND1 fan, and China got mad love & respect for you Professor!! Idk what the fuck that dude be talking about. Keep up your hustle and grind, I love your reaction videos. China appreciates your dedication to your craft.
yeah, it’s true. The majority of Chinese basketball fans got crazy love for you...I remembered once that you played a game with a bunch of pros and hit some one in head. Then that guy try to fight with you.. and all the Chinese basketball fans defend you on internet against our local pros.. that’s crazy.. we get a lot respect for you, you can not probably imagine..thank you
This guy you played with is not a pro. He just played many amateur game for some easy money. He always try to use his size advantage on small player. Anyway, he does not have an elite dribbling and always play very aggressive. Plus his ignorant comment, a lot of Chinese hooper dislike him.
This guy‘s name is Yunpeng An. He may have won a couple 3v3 championships in China. But to me he just seems to be a sore loser. Any true basketball fan can tell how you owned him in that 2-0 game.
You handled this very well and with class. Think of it as a sign of respect the way this guy responded to you. Thanks for posting and reminding all of us to keep it fun, playful, and safe.
Hey Professor, I am Chinese who once enjoyed the game you played in Melbourne (And1).That guy was actually only one above-the-average player in the amateur tournament (Lu Ren Wang) hosted by Hupu.com. No need to worry about too much of any annoying comments, just keep up the great work ! Love you bro !
I think that you handled the situation very well. Very mature way to handle it. He looked like a proud competitor and he is young. You did a great job of not beating him down but just explaining the situation. From an old coach, you do a great job as an entertainer and helping be an ambassador for the game. Just remember that you are a celebrity and with that comes situations like this. Keep handling your game with the mindset that you represent something bigger than you. God bless and keep ballin'!
Grayson, you're a true professional. I can tell it was important for you to put out a video to set the record straight. You did, but your true fans and followers understand. No need to feel bad. You played fairly, entertained the crowd, and won. It happens. What stands out more impressively are the 300 kids that you positively touched that day. Hope to run into you again soon here in Santa Clarita.
You don't seem to understand the Chinese culture prof. You da hoops man, but in China people are all about the face. They hate losing face and that's that. He just had to say something to protect his reputation -whatever that may be- among his peers. It wouldn't matter if you'd beaten him 11-0. He'd still have something to say. Much love from an expat fan in China
There are also many.white people who are very intelligent, it depends. Without the inborn privilege, I have to say it is very hard for most white people to survive and gain success in a Chinese society.
Class act professor, some People have to much ego tied into things they like. You staying humble and kind is the true win here. Thanks for being that way. Grown folks appreciate it greatly. One of the reason I like Steph Curry. Humility is a choice talent and health are gifts even if you work hard because many people work hard with varying return most of which is beyond their control. Glad you are still balling and that it is still taking care of finances. Much respect and admiration brother.
Flying Pancakes wtf? The point is the bigger guys that professor has played against are not that good at defense. A smaller guy has better defense them your bigger guys. Dumbass
Very funny responses and love your video. Much respect for all you do for the kids....very inspiring and deserving of all the good that comes your way. And your right about that Chinese guy..... He was only there to show you up and got the beat down.(LOVED IT). And only someone with years of hard work could produce all your great moves. Love watching your response videos...... hilarious
its 2021 and just now seeing this video. I guess you cant please everyone Professor. What i saw on the video looked good to me and like you said you just showed the highlights like you always do. Dont know if this situation was ever settled, but thanks for the video.
That's exactly right. The only internet footage of this guy now is him blowing 2 easy 80% shots in a row. Some people can laugh that off. Him going online afterwards like that makes him look way worse than the misses.
LOL, funny frustrated guy, I think too it was him, I guess u will find many aggressive individuals out there especially when social media expose your talent. Oh well I guess it is part of the thing. to me finding somebody so good would be a privilege cause u got a chance to learn tha much. And in the end, is a game and its fun even getting beat up. Keep up your incredible skills and attitude man :)
The Chinese dude thought if he had beat you 1v1 then everyone would want to know who he was and he thought he might get fame off of it. Everyone wants their 15 minute of fame in life.
Knowing u can't win every time out is the key. No one is perfect. We will all lose. When u win good play speaks for itself. But u also have to know how to lose, meaning how to handle defeat. Be humble...congratulate your opponent. Learn how to give credit when it's due. Don't be a whiner. Show respect. Be classy. Simple! When I learned about losing and how to handle defeat it made me a better player. Basketball is a lot like life...everyone handles winning But losing and failure happens in all things......learning how to handle defeat teaches u how to handle life's journey!
Professor could you come out to Naval Base Ventura County? Show a couple of us Navy Sailors a good time on the court? We would love to see you and I can facilitate something with the gym where we can hold a event with you as a special guest. Let me know if that’s something you would have time for. Thanks and I love your videos. Much respect! 🙏🏼
Heya Proff,,, I’m from Glasgow Scotland n we know NOTHING abt basketball but watching you is a treat... keep kicking ass as I’m a short ass at 5’4” ok for soccer n shit hot at that but love watching u do what u do.... keep it going... Kev B .....
Who doesn't want to beat the showboating Professor? I don't think it was personal. He gave an honest effort. There are many aggressive players like that. I can tell from the short footage that the guy was merely mad and being too hard on HIMSELF for missing the layup, and being aggressive was probably the way he plays.
@Professor Live Much love to the Professor... I watched your reaction video about the guy ranting about why you wouldn't make the NBA....I'm from the UK and not the biggest basketball fan but you bring a lot more enjoyment to watch than watching the NBA, any day. Keep doing your thing bro....peace from England.
globalicon2012 So Making fun of someone is "obsessing" now? Lol. How Is The view up there hanging from Labalds balls? Lol Listen Man just go home and look at your fashion magazines and paint your finger nails and gossip with your girlfriends and let the real men here talk about real man shit.
Interesting story. Never really followed the and1 circuit, but being a basketball fan, I've definitely come across some of your videos. I agree with what you said: sometimes you just gotta take the easy jumper or blow by the aggressive guys for the easy lay in to put them in their place. On top of that, chances are that if he gave off a negative vibe he's probably rubbed more than a few people the wrong way; if he's just playing hard, he should have paid you the respect that any competitor deserves from thereon after. It's easy to build a good/bad reputation on the court, and it's just not worth getting into it with sour apples. In addition, some people tend to forget that what you do is a blend of art, sports, and entertainment. Anyway, keep up the great work!
As Chinese basketball fans, we all have great respect to the Professor and many of our street ballers are modeling his game. For me, he’s an important part of my childhood, and hot sauce too...
I just found a lot of people trying to disrepect chinese people in general in the comment section. Y bring all chinese for one person. Besides all professor saying is that his words after the game are wrong.
Well, a napoleon complex is basically someone acting like you. It's about people that feel insecure and need to prove themselves. Kind of like a baby gangster that goes on the internet and starts talking about "knocking some teeth". The more someone brags about how hard they are, the more obvious it is they're some soft ass bitch.
I got your point on clearing about highlights ans stuff, to make shorten videos and better 'quick' material media. But sometimes, you just could give (for great competitors and persons), some highlights also. We all know ur game is great, fella...but sometimes, ppl are pushing hard themselves to get the chance to be not just beside you, but playing against you...some ppl get inspirational from your posting, so, make them proud of your humble and sportivity. THUMBS UP for that!
First of all, I am a big fan of the professor. But I think people are over reacting on this one on one game and what the Chinese player "said". I mean, as amazing as professor is, there are many good street players in the world would like to challenge him, this is just natural. The guy of course was not entirely convinced by the defeat because the game was too short and he obviously has ego and would like to have more chances to challenge the professor. I think any baller would understand his position. About what he said, first of all, I did not know what exactly the Chinese player said, sounds to me, it was just 2nd or even 3rd hand information, could be exaggerated. I don't think people should just blindly point fingers to him without knowing exactly what he said. His name is AN YUN PENG, actually he is now one of the top players in a very popular Chinese nation-wide street ball one-on-one tournament. In my opinion he is quiet a skilled player. He might have said something not completely true (although nobody here has really heard what he said, all here are just speculating), but it does not shadow the fact that he can play. The one on one game with professor was too short and obviously he did not think that he got enough time to show off his true skills. So may he should get another chance to have a one on one session with the professor? Many of the players in this on-going tournament "king of the underdogs" are actually quiet good, maybe the professor should pay them a visit? All in all, this is street ball, we should use a real game to show the fact, not just talking, right? one of AN's highlight videos can be seen here, just that if anyone is interested. ruclips.net/video/b2cbv3GPxNU/видео.html
One thing to just simply want a rematch...... it's another thing to call the person who beat you a lier while pretending to be someone else, only to reveal yourself at the end, then delete the tweets. Wanting a rematch and being a sore loser are two different things. And after missing those two bunnies right at the rim, I don't care what his previous accomplishments were.
Eddie Zheng There's 181K views on this video. His other videos have way more views. So by your logic he should have a hell of alot more views compared to his other vids since he did this just for views... right?
The majority of Chinese basketball fans got crazy love for you...I remembered once that you played a game in China with a bunch of pros and hit some one in head with the ball. Then that guy tried to fight with you on the court.. and all the Chinese basketball fans defend you on internet against our local pros.. that’s crazy.. we get a lot respect for you, you can not probably imagine..thank you
There are some good chinese hoopers back in China just like streetball guys in US, but there are always aggressive players who wanna win and paly physical, can't blame.
Yang Loki agreed. Aggressive play is perfectly fine just like the prof said. The issue is the amount of under-handed messages being said over the internet by that player. It doesn't matter if he was Chinese or not.
True. There was nothing aggressive in this game. If you consider this aggressive you either never played street ball or you just too soft, in this case must be option no 2.
Just my opinion, If you look at how the kid gets farther towards the basket, a lot of the time he could easily dribble around but he instead uses his shoulders to kind of push him out the way. Idk though
You should go to spooky nook sports complex its in new jersey. it has like 12 courts and all other courts and fields of other sports. they have an arcade and an American ninja warrior course. its just a really dope complex
That doesn't make any sense at all. So, if I play against you, I should not be serious and not use my full power? I'll just, like what you mentioned in this video, play "to entertain" while you (professor) on the other hand kicking my butt and making highlights? It's once in a lifetime experience. And that once in a lifetime experience (against Professor) would be quick since you don't do rematches. Once you (professor) got the ball, it's over. Your opponent won't have another opportunity for a ball possession. The only time you did a video rematch is when a local beat you while you're in a spider costume. You beaten him on the rematch when you took off your mask. That's the guy's once in a lifetime experience with you. People know you're that good. So, from time to time, strangers playing aggressive against you should not be a surprise. It's cool that you can do what you love, travel and meet people. But there would be a time you would grow old, you would have to settle down; and you're going to interact with the same people over and over (because you love to play basketball). Then, on that time, boy, you can't just say you don't want a rematch. New generations gonna come up to you and they don't know who is this "Professor." Young kids don't even know Jason Kidd or Jason Williams nowadays. But, who knows. You probably gonna say, "I'm too old now. I can't play another game (run it back)."
kyoukoujin he had no problem with the guy playing aggressive. His problem was that the guy was on twitter calling him a cheater and putting out that false narrative.
King John it was a game to 2, you mental midgit. And he makes a living playing basketball and putting out videos about basketball, he's just telling a funny story about something that happened to him...wait for it...playing basketball. Yeesh.
i am Chinese, and an avid Basketball/AND1 fan, and China got mad love & respect for you Professor!! Idk what the fuck that dude be talking about. Keep up your hustle and grind, I love your reaction videos. China appreciates your dedication to your craft.

This was just an overmotivated fan. He had the dream to beat you and failed.
You handled this very well and with class. Think of it as a sign of respect the way this guy responded to you. Thanks for posting and reminding all of us to keep it fun, playful, and safe.

There are also many.white people who are very intelligent, it depends. Without the inborn privilege, I have to say it is very hard for most white people to survive and gain success in a Chinese society.
No one likes to be embarrassed at something they are passionate about period. This is hardly exclusive to Chinese people.
Haha let’s get a white guy to tell us how Chinese culture is
Look not all Americans are inbred fat bald guys on RUclips but hey look where we’re at

No need to play against someone like that second time. Your game is significantly superior. Thanks for all you do.
That Chinese guy is probably the best defender I've seen you play against...
Best defender, not best defense he's ever played. Read carefully, pancake.

Professor the goat 🐐😁
That kid isn't a pro... Maybe semi pro. He also didn't seem very angry.
Isaac Shapiro oh yeah we should trust you because you were there... Professor just makes shit up about playing against other players... stfu

Grew up in Portland, Oregon. Love your stuff. Big fan.
"yeah I don't think the professor could play pro" *beats most pro basketball players in 1v1
The Professor is the 🐐 of streetball
This kid did not look overly "aggressive". Seemed like a normal game between two decent players playing their games.
Idk though
FAXXX
Love the video, can you tell more stories like this one?
The King of carrying the ball!!! and travel!
The Mouse this is street ball u idiot? Lebron and Harden travels a lot and no calls in the NBA

You're such a good sport man, kudos, keep up.
He want to play you again so he can hurt you DONT DO IT!!!
Exactly...
Prof, you are too good to be worrying about all these suckas feelings. You dont need to justify anything to them you are on another level bro.
I think he just want to use his body advantage...
just keep going out there breaking bones !! the time that you spend with kids we all love it !!
How is this physical defense again??
Mohammed Raheef it’s physical offense. Hard shoulder before spins... during a casual game.
Mohammed Raheef slapping in a casual game for fun isn’t physical to u and he wasn’t just talking about defense dumbass
Basketball Players basketball is a physical game so you can’t say that some pushing, sometimes slapping isn’t part of the game/sport
Mohammed Raheef it’s physical offence idiot it’s called offensive foul
Chris Orion - Offensive foul? You're kidding me right? Yes it was physical but it was not an offensive foul by any stretch of the imagination.
man, u break ankles yet u humble. respect yo
The Chinese guy was not a serious English student....just a narcissist athlete with huge delusional ego.
I love how the T-Shirt got affected by the Greenscreen thingy and the Green Parts are just Transparent
wtf was that at 5:23 !?
that was definitely a charging foul
Not a huge basketball fan i do like your videos.. life is short have fun is my message to the younger people , thanks for sharing
Just post the whole game without cut to shut this kid up.
@Albert Cai like the Chinese face? For what, you think it's worse than he is saying here?
You should kick his ass again & clown him professor style.
You should go to spooky nook sports complex its in new jersey. it has like 12 courts and all other courts and fields of other sports. they have an arcade and an American ninja warrior course. its just a really dope complex

Can you bring in Hot Sauce
That shirt is fire, the reflector on the toad is lit
Nevermind, the green screen made it seem like it was a reflector... Its still fire though
Aka dribble god
your play is very amazing>
I can't play another game (run it back)."
kyoukoujin so.. Are you on meth, or are you not a native English speaker?
Ziphu Knapdagji non-native. Is my message not clear?
kyoukoujin you have an anime pfp who cares what you think 🤣
kyoukoujin he had no problem with the guy playing aggressive. His problem was that the guy was on twitter calling him a cheater and putting out that false narrative.
kyoukoujin um nah
You're awesome man real humble.
my names Aidan but I am on my moms profile but I play basketball any chance I get even outside in the winter. Currently I am practicing the "Glitch"

Prof salty some guy actually played defense and tried to win?
King John dumb fucks like you throw the term "salty" around with no real meaning lol fucking idiot
Brew master dude made video crying because somebody actually tried to play defense against him. That looks salty as fuck to me
Nam L Wow, he scored a whole 2 points!!! On how many possessions? Again Prof sounds cotton soft in this one.
King John it was a game to 2, you mental midgit. And he makes a living playing basketball and putting out videos about basketball, he's just telling a funny story about something that happened to him...wait for it...playing basketball. Yeesh.
sissyfist wasn't funny though
You can't be embarrassed when you get professed. Very honorable to be thusly served.
