I think, Shree Ram shown in "Ramayan the legend of Prince Ram" is matching with description given in valmiki ramayan if we leave the skin colour, it's really a masterpiece of Japanese animator and director Yugo Sako's and dedication in his work is shown by attention to detail in the movie.

It is clear that most of our gods like Rama and Krishna were savla / dark-skinned in colour, and this is very empowering since this matches most of our skin colours.
