    You could tell that he expected to finish in the earlier rounds, hence why he went crazy with the power shots. Once you guys got to Round 5, he was noticeably gassed and a fish out of water.
    For future fights against "bully" opponents, I think your best bet is just pacing yourself and keeping up a solid defense. Touch up the opponent occasionally, but focus on getting him tired out towards the mid-way point; once you have a huge Stamina reserve in comparison to the opponent's (like in this fight) you'll be able to dictate the pace and start dominating.

  • @nuclearlefthook5008

    Ricky, use sways more (double flick movement) backwards when the opponent throws looping strikes like hooks and uppercuts. Also use the jab at a distance along with it, try to keep the opponent at the end of it. Mix it up to the body.
    It's much harder to keep distance when you block because it slows down your movement speed.

    First few rounds you were fighting his fight and playing to his strengths, and not using yours. Your endurance, stamina and granite chin got you through it it, but just barely. When he couldn't KO you right away, he probably saw his stamina was starting to ebb and became more conservative. You took proper advantage of that and started to be a bit more aggressive and it paid off. Good fight!

    I will never forget it..
    On my Xbox 360, about 7 years ago:
    Using Mike Tyson against Issac Frost for a boring spar/ inside fighter training session.
    Frost throws some sort of set-up, feel-me-out kind of jab or right cross, I can't remember,
    With my thumb doing some sort or lazy trained reflex, the unbelievable happened..
    My greatest moment in the history of my sparring sessions on Champion...
    Slipping his punch with Tysons peek-a-boo style, I nonchalantly threw the Tyson overhead right hook at full health/stamina to Frosts jaw, knocking him out cold. Frost drops like a bag of potatoes. Trainers carry him out.
    I mean, within 45 seconds of the first round.
    1 in a 100 possibility, maybe?
    I sat there for a minute in disbelief.
    If Frost was a real person, he should of been humiliated/ humbled on that day. Or considered retirement Lol.
    You ever have something similar happen, Ricky J?
    Who are your favorite fighters?
    I'm genuinely curious.
    I like Jones Jr, Hagler, Hollyfield, Sugar Ray Leonard, Pacquiao and
    Thommy Morrison had the best left hook I've ever seen.
    I love your content, bro!
    Keep the videos coming.
    P.S. Sorry for the punctuation

    It was what I would expect from a real life Tyson/Ali fight. Tyson coming out strong early going for the knockout, middle rounds a little less action as Tyson can't sustain and Ali tries to find openings, then Ali has that extra gear and finishes Tyson off.

  • @KYondric

    You literally handled that real well. Just more double flick movements and you’re solid. When you have the reach advantage it helps to double flick backwards and do a power straight (R2 is the power modifier) or a lean back and straight. Bc most inside fighters do a lot of hooks

    He fires in rhythm always with his lead, usually a hook. time the dodge or head movement and hit him in the gut on the counter. Try to survive to the end, the wiff plus counter body will wear down his stamina. I found that Sidesteps are better. That said, players who can pressure fight are tough as an outside fighter, you'll be at a disadvantage either way.

    I know this video is old but you did exactly what I would've done against someone playing Mike Tyson and fighting like that. Get away from him and let him swing at the air for a while until he's out of breath, then smack him in the stomach twice and repeat. Even if you only hit him 20 times each in the first 4 or 5 rounds, just hit him in the stomach. It's amazing how accurate the game is, when someone throws 80 punches a round and 40 or more of them are catching nothing but air, and you hit him in the guts 100 times? He's gonna keel over and beg for the fight to be over before you can even move onto punching him in the face. He fought himself and then started to realize it around the 5th or 6th round, slowed up and tried to match you instead of attacking you, but if I had to guess I'd say his stamina was completely gone by that point, he had nothing left except the excellent resilience of the character he's chosen. If only he'd been more effective in letting the air out of your tires, maybe that resilience could've come into play.

I nailed him a load of times. He hit me twice and both times floored me. Tyson's stamina regeneration is not meant to do this like at all. The guy had bought every possible gold booster in the game. That's why I didn't bother again. At a massive disadvantage unless you pay.

  • @pumma4628
    @pumma4628 3 года назад

    Sometimes use the push to create space. And then use that space, to throw 2 or 3 hit combinations. Also hit and move. Don't move, stop and hit while a pressure fighter is pressuring you. Also never be afraid to take a hit, to GET a hit. The fighters are a lot stronger than we think but sometimes we do get paranoid. However, this is why defense, distance, shot selection and timing punches, is sooooo important to learn. And that is how to survive the storm.

    Punches will eventually break through the block if you just stand there holding it. The key is to basically tap the block right as the punches are about to land and if you time it right, none of them will land clean.

    He was done after 5. When someone attacks like that, look for the pattern and dodge. His was left uppercut, right jab/cross, left uppercut. He used it constantly.

    U move faster when u don't block. U to close arms reach

  • @tavorisdixon6342
    @tavorisdixon6342 3 года назад

    Bro... move diagonally away to the left. When you fight a pressure fighter , keep your hands down, as if you are not blocking.... you move faster, which let you escape. Jab while leaning to the left. Either follow with a dash(step back) evade right. In close, when you have no options, power to the body with a hook over head right leaning and coming in with body movement of throwing a hook. With power think playing the long game.

  • @samhansen6320
    @samhansen6320 3 года назад

    As soon as a pressure fighter starts moving backwards. Not just backs off pressure but starts avoid exchanges like round 5.... go at him. Keep a jab pumping in his face and gut. Occasionally in 1 2 out and a counter 2 to counter the hook he's undoubtedly gonna throw

  • @KurNorock

    The reason you keep getting hit when you try to fight back is because you are trying to throw 2 or 3 punches at a time. That leaves you open.
    You need to throw ONE jab, then dodge back because you know that left hook is coming. Repeat until he gases.

  • @76biggdogg
    @76biggdogg 2 года назад

    This was great Ricky !!! Use the jab more is my only advice. Yes you can break their block and use feints

    Double tap back to do a shuffle step backwards and forward. If you can survive the 4 or 5 round against Tyson then you have the advantage. Tyson is the kinda boxer that wants to leave everything in the ring in the first three rounds

    Tyson is a compact ball of muscle and explosion. This guy is pressuring you the way Tyson would. Ali vs Tyson you'd need to use the reach to your advantage.
