Enjoyed these pick ups. A few made the want list. You cost me money. I really like those Hubert Laws CTI's. That's a good record. The Neal Creque and the Joe Bonner I'm very interested in. Cheers to you bro. - TONE
'i definitely don't plan on buying any more records' -- it's unplanned ones that kill ya though. i' don't think i've ever seen that dolphy, will have to check out. soul note is the best label few talk about, so much good music there-- there's a soul note comp that came out recently.
hello kieran! very nice vinyl finds! would you be able to share thoughts on quality of the reissue over the og of proceed with caution by calvin keys??
Hey Derick. I didn’t do an A/B comparison however the sound on the real gone black jazz reissues are great. No complaints from me on the couple I have.
Apologies for no reply. Somehow missed this message. I actually don’t know what they are as in they aren’t a specific brand. Local shop sells them. And then I sourced some online for cheaper in a bulk Buy. Not the rice paper style like the mofi. I like them because they have a big more structure/rigidity to them
@@NEEDLEGROOVEVINYL Never bumped into the 'brand' but I do ban clothes with labels in my house. Obvious reasons. My point is do labels challenge the Hipster Stereotype, my hunch is yes?
@@miketomlin6040 that’s a good approach. Not a big brand guy either. This happens to be a small local brand rooted in the run community. And I was gifted the hat. And not really sure what you mean by “no matter how hipster my vinyls are”.
@@NEEDLEGROOVEVINYL This approach works well for me - adopt a zero tolerance approach to the catastophic post Reagan income divide, emodied by these ubiquitous labels one sees on so many consumer products. I love that you always point out really great inexpensive records. Always nice to find new music and save money.
Love the cheap heat! Even with the craziness of records in past few years there are still great cheap records.
Lovely mix of records Kieran. I will be digging into that Barron trio LP. Hope all is well
Thanks Dom! And yes. You definitely should.
You always come up with some great jazz finds!! 🙌🔥🙌
Thanks!
Got my eyes and mouse on red alert for that Kenny Barron
Just stumbled on your channel the other day. Picked up the Anthony Davis Quartet record you reccomended 6 years ago!
Oh wow. Going back in the vault. Lol. Welcome!

No matter how hipster your vinyls are the label on the hat will undermine your relationship to soundscapes of this ilk.
You have something against Ciele?
