- Ali is joined by Blaize as they leave the drops and pick up a mountain bike for a simple, 83 mile, 12,000' elevation gain ride in California along the Sierra Madre Road in Los Padres National Forest. Once Ali decides it's a race and goes off the front, leaving Blaize on his own, what could go wrong?

So stoked to test out the Little Stinky!
YES! Do it! You won't regret it. And you can change up some of the ingredients to your liking. It is MONEY.
Love this! "She must have a different definition of together time." LOL
Great vicarious fun on a Friday afternoon. This channel highlights so many wonderful rides, urban and countryside.
Ali and Blaize are awesome! I really got sucked into this one!
Glad you enjoyed it! Can't make this stuff up!
LOL. How fun. "It's not just a ride. It's an adventure".
Great editing! Great chemistry! Great Adventure! The touch of humour is just spot-on and endearing. More please.
I got home from Critical Mass a little while ago, so imagine my delight at getting to watch a video featuring one of my favorite types of rides. I love the long trail days. Lucky for me, I live near multiple trail heads so getting out there is no problem. Unlucky for me, everything has to be an out & back unless i want to bikepack. More adventure rides with Ali, please!
If I was Blaze I would be a little pissed. Home girl starts the ride an hour and half latter than she said drops him right away. Then he has to peddle in alone in the dark.
Luckily for me - Blaize is very forgiving! Phew. And we both got lost. Not my brightest moment, but thank heavens for e-bike friend and snow. Thanks for watching!
Amazing place to ride trails. Most trails here in Donegal,Ireland’s West Coast are either forestry or end at a place where folk cut turf. Dramatic coastline, best suited to hiking. Plenty of small backroads though.13 mile climbs...brilliant. Thank you both.
..aaaand this is why my wife won't ride with me (except for brewery intermission rides). Good stuff. Like the diff "adventures" @PreemTV is encompassing. #longlivethechannel
You guys are awesome!!! :)
Ah, thank you! He is literally the best thing in this world.
Great stuff
A friend who finishes at the front of the women's pro class in gravel and mtb endurance races said she wanted to ride with me - I'd imagine it would go something like this 😅 Ali, how about a similarly big mtb (or aggressive gravel) ride up in Marin or Napa?
Preem needs more Alison!
Epic ride, nicely done!
Adventure time...for the intrepid couple... relentless.... Blaize is not even close to done ...say a prayer 🙏
Kudos to both of you!...
Haha, thank you! He is a good sport.
Really enjoyed the video, would you do this route with a gravel bike instead of a mountain bike?
I think it could be done on a gravel bike, it is pretty nontechnical - but it would beat you up and you would have to walk a few sections... but, doable for sure! Check out my route on Komoot!
@@amtetrick thank you I found the route, thanks again for sharing your adventure
I too like 'luxurious starts' I'm going to have to borrow that phrase!
It is YOURS! I am a huge fan of luxurious starts... but Blaize might not let me do those anymore. This isn't the first time we have paid for it...
@@amtetrick maybe not the best move for the all day epic rides 😂
Awesome job Ali I glad Blaze made it safely
Thanks, John! Yes - I was getting pretty worried but was certain he would catch me!
Next time Blaize starts an adventure with Ali, he needs to turn around as soon as she drops him, go back, switch to an e-bike and then blow by her with a smile and “See you at the parking lot!”
I have a Creo... don't tempt him!
That was awesome - if you wanted to ride a portion of it on a gravel bike would you start at the North or South end?
Definitely start where I did (north). I think the climb out of where I finished would be BRUTAL (just really steep). All of it is doable on a gravel bike, but would just require more walking, which isn't bad, because snack breaks! I bet you could easily do that whole first 34 miles (before the road is closed) on a gravel bike and jam back down.
@@amtetrick thank you! I'm gonna hit that up and maybe explore the Carrizo Plain over a weekend
Where did you find info on when the gates are open? I looked on los padres website which said it's always closed...
How do you ride all day on 1.5 liters of water?
I had bottles... and I ate snow. Should've brought more. That wasn't smart...
blaize should count himself lucky my wife would have left me to the cold and the bears, and if there wasnt any local bears she would have shipped some in, especially hungry ones !
Gee Can’t Nicely say how this is as good as (no names) that show used to be. This episode is first rate.
I knew you would get a kick out of this one, Lance!
fun ride, but i want to know more about the mobile accommodation!
Isn't that roof top tent (Desert Armor) rad!? Queen size memory foam mattress in there!
Leadville next? Thanks
Yes! I am planning on doing LeadBoat! Leadville on Saturday and SBTGRVL on Sunday! That will be a big weekend of 250 miles of dirt! Thanks!
1.5L of water for an all day ride? Or did you carry extra? That seems like very not enough. :)
I had bottles too... and no, that was not enough. I ate snow and put it into my Camelbak. That wasn't a joke.
Delirious!
Haha, I am glad someone caught that!
You skipped over what was in the flask. 😝
You caught me!!!! 🥃
@@amtetrick 😉
@@ncbassmix If you know you know.
Well, she's left him in the dust... That's one way to dump the bf :-D
"It's not you... it's me"...
You're going what, 5 to 10 mph miles from traffic and you don't dare remove the helmet. Phooey on our modern times. (At first I thought you were climbing to 12,000 feet! Also, nice to have someone to bring the ol' truck around.) But anyway a fine day out.
First!
WINNER!
