It’s dumb. You have to shower before you use the cold plunge but there’s no shower in the gym. So you’d have to shower somewhere else just to drive all the way to zoo just to use the cold plunge. Most people use the cold plunge after they workout too so you’d have to leave, shower, and then come back. Doesn’t even make sense

Once a month my gym has full session where we don’t throw a single punch or kick, all we do is move and try not to get hit by our coach. There’s not a single chance someone untrained is going to get a hand on me enough to throw me off balance if we’re square. And 5 minutes of that they’ll just give up because their cardio is shot, and then they’re roadkill. Now I would never in my life fight someone trained and is 25 pounds bigger than me, nor Bradley because he’s somewhat trained. But someone 50 lbs bigger untrained? That’s literally my friend and he throws like he’s underwater.

It’s a precursor to boxing and wrestling, and is sometimes considered the Ancient Greek form of mixed martial arts. I’m not sure where you got the idea that humans hitting and grabbing each other was a recent thing, it’s probably the oldest form of interpersonal combat to ever exist.
