He explains perfectly how a secant comes to a tangent and then how limits exist. It took me a week getting the hang of it when i first learnt it in class. I wish i watched this video first
Calculus is a prerequisite for a course I want to take, and I studied it many years ago, but I had forgot it. I was tempted to take a full course that would've taken months... And here I am, 20 minutes later, ready to take this new course. Thank you Mr. Burger!
11:12 you don’t wanna be sued Me in real life : HMM stop there ladder wait for me to find out your rate 3 mins later ME : OK you can fall now. I have found the rate you’re falling at.
I remember first watching this when I was in like 7th grade and thinking how crazy hard Calculus had to have been and how amazing it was that he cold condense it like this. Now I'm at the end of my ME degree and even I think I could do this in even less time LOL. Just learn derivatives, then learn to do it backwards. There you go, that's the whole course lol. Calculus 2 on the other hand is just hard integrals, then Calculus 3 is just all visualization.
Thnk you teacher in the coming monday I will enter my final exam of applied in the first semester so please I learn from u allot so please make a vedeo about applied 2
Very well done, but saying instantaneous rate of change is distance over time is misleading because the output of a function is not always distance and the input is not always time. In fact, most of the time (no pun intended), we're dealing with functions with much different parameters, such as amount of profit per number of items sold. But the principle is the same.
"we can do lines"... this dude already did like 6 clearly
LMAO AHGSAHGAH
the glass shattering really helps with learning
honestly though
@@spiderman-zz6nn it would've been better if it was followed by a screaming cat.

I am so doing this.
Prof Burger's pedagogy is exciting: he seasons it with humor.
Everyone should watch this before going into their high school or college calculus course.
He explains perfectly how a secant comes to a tangent and then how limits exist. It took me a week getting the hang of it when i first learnt it in class. I wish i watched this video first

"never forget it" (toss, SHATTER...) I forgot it..... :(
6:29 Thank you for this explanation! I never figured out when to use d/dx or dy/dx.
The fundamental theorem. How derivatives relate to integrals. Beautiful.
if only i spent my college tuition on this guy. wouldve saved years of tears
When you have 20 mins left for your Calculus exam
Good luck on the test fellow crammers! We got this.
Braden Roberts good luck to you too
Braden Roberts how did it go?
This man teaches me geometry every day and now I’m looking him up because I laugh watching him and now I know calculus and I am now a Russian spy
Well this comment sure took an odd turn...

I was just talking about this the other day.
Nice to see a re-upload of this old classic.
This dude helped me so much back in 2007 when I was struggling with Calc 1.
Saudades! Eu lembro como era divertido ver e rever esse vídeo quando eu estava no ensino médio, em 2008.
Obrigado pela obra de arte!

That was freaking incredible.
Good Lord! This man is brilliant!
I found it again! This lecture helped me pass my exam when I took the calculus course two years ago.
Thanks prof, that was brilliant. Not the formulae I forgot, but some beautiful functions and you don't mess around.
Don't mind me, just here the day before my AP Calc [ab] class, tryna figure out what I'm getting myself into
Best math professor fr, thank you all so much for the amazing videos you've always had 🙏
Bravo! You should try auctioneering on the side.
Maybe used car sales man?
Dr. Burger is one of those unsung heroes...that has transformed many lives perhaps changing the course of manking
First of all this is awesome. Second, I laughed so hard when he took out two pictures of hands pointing when he had two hands to point with.
Got my calculus 1 final in 1 hour and half, burger don't fail me now
The little pictures of hands he's holding with his hands oh my god
This is amazing. The visual demonstrations are mind blowing. Great work!!
"Not, not, not a big deal."
Let me tell you about the New York triple positive. "Yeah, yeah... yeah"
That... That was actually so useful
a little known detail is that he explains all of calc 2 & 3 in the final minute and 40 seconds left out of the video
My jaw dropped every 5 seconds watching this. I have never learned calculus this well...

But things like related rates and integrals with weird figures are so hard to wrap ur mind around. At least for me. Got any tips?
♥️♥️♥️Super fun Learning,...actually reviewing calculus 1 from super fast professor! Genius!
