    If you let the acrylic dry inside the brush, it would require a good cleaning in acetone so that’s why it’s good to wipe the brush often. Just as a preventative.
    Monomer is STRONG!
    You did outstanding! You’re a natural!

    you did so much better than i did my first attempt! and i believe you wipe the brush on the paper towel often to prevent any of the acrylic getting stuck and dried in your brush. sometimes it might not look like it but i’ve had small amounts of acrylic get dried in the middle of the bristles and it’s such a pain to get out!

      also Infinity Nails on youtube has some amazing videos on liquid to powder ratio, how to get acrylic perfect at the cuticle line, i’ve learned so much from her!

    There’s definitely a learning curve, to get the right consistency, the right size bead . You tube videos are helpful but it takes practice . I think you did really well for your first time. If the monomer dry on the brush it’s very hard . I just starting doing them a few months ago .

It realy is !👍😃great job hun,that is realy a first acrylic nail to be proud on! Believe me,i think everybody will agree with that👍❤

    You did really good for a first time. It’s tricky getting the ratio down.I’ve been playing around with acrylic and monomer too. I do think the brushes they include in those kits aren’t good quality. I like to use a kolinsky #8 brush. I can message you the link to the one I use. I’m not a pro obviously but I like to dip my brush on the monomer and let wipe it on the inside of the dampen dish and then pick up a bead, apply to the nail and then wipe the brush off on a paper towel

    I have this exact kit, and really new to all things nails - haven't done anything with my nails in literally decades, so I feel like I'm learning from the start! I'm so glad you did this review/demo, and so glad I found the video. As i said, i'm new, so i have some questions... I thought all acrylics needed to cure in a LED/UV lamp. The instructions in this kit don't say to cure, anywhere in the process. And your video didn't mention it, either. Does this acrylic need to cure? The occasions that I've had "acrylics" applied to my nails in a salon, there was lamp curing. And, sadly, there was a language barrier, so I couldn't ask the tech and get an answer that I felt confident of. I'm very curious!

    • @CaroleAnnette
      @CaroleAnnette  3 года назад +1

      Acrylic doesn’t need a lamp to cure.
      They use a liquid called Monomer to apply, and that monomer will harden/cure the powder onto the nails.
      The salon probably used a gel top coat to make the nails shiny, and that requires a lamp to cure the gel top coat.

      I highly recommend checking out a nail tech called “Vee Nailed It” here on RUclips. She uses acrylic powder in her routine, alone with gel top coats.

      Abigail Rose you are soo correct! I found out shortly after this video that I’m allergic to a gel base/top that I had been using since May.
      🙃🥲😢😭
      It was soo bad but gradual, that I didn’t realize it was the product causing it.
