This popped up on my feed today. This is my favorite local antique mall. Sometimes I go just to listen to the music and to look. Let's be honest, I don't think that I have ever left empty handed. Thanks for taking us along!

Koss are speakers and headphones made in Milwaukee. They used to have creative billboards like the "Rebel without a Koss" one with James Dean.

I went to Poland and was able to go to the pottery manufacturing company store in the mid 90s. The prices were so cheap. I brought back a few pieces and still have them.

Ahh you were in my hometown. Our river use to freeze really well and as a kid I skated everyday in the winter when the ice was safe. That store use to be a Red Owl grocery store. A friend has an antique place in downtown Waukesha. Unfortunately are city is known for having a guy drive through our Christmas parade killing 6 and injuring dozens more. Thanks for visiting.
I remember that day. So tragic. Luckily, the community is strong. It's such a sweet Town.

Misty I have a good Teddy Bear story for you! I went to the Springfield Extravaganza this month with my mom. Our first time there, we loved it. While in town we also went to the Heart of Ohio Antique Mall (amazing place!).
Waaayyy down at the end of section 1 was a booth with a few plush and one of them was a 1950’s Cubbi with a rubber snout by Gund. He was extremely well loved/worn. Price was $40 but 20% off. I thought I was nuts for spending that much on a bear but here’s what got me- he had a hand written note on him explaining that he was from the 1950’s and that the booth owner had owned and loved him since the 1970’s ❤
He indeed came home with me and I’m hoping to be able to show him some love for another 50+ years!

I live near Waukesha. The downtown Waukesha area businesses are still trying to bounce back after the Christmas Parade massacre on November 21, 2021. On that date, Daryl Brooks drive his SUV through the Christmas Parade, killing five people and injuring 62 others in front of all of the spectators. Many of those spectators who witnessed that event required psychological counseling afterwards. People avoided the downtown area for quite awhile after that traumatic event. A beautiful memorial has been erected honoring the victims. No on here will ever forget that day, but downtown Waukesha is finally starting to get back to normal.
I appreciate your thoughtful comment. It’s heartwarming to see the community coming together to heal and rebuild after such a difficult time.
