I hope your appointment with the surgeon went well and you have some certainty to plan for now. Your knits are beautiful as usual - you certainly have a talent for marrying patterns and yarn. The plans for your new lovely gifted yarns will really make the yarn shine. I haven’t knit any Caidree patterns but I have knitted several Heidi Kirrmaier ones and love her style. The patterns are written differently than others I’ve come across but I find them extremely clear and I highly recommend them. Loving the outtakes at the end! 😂
Dear Jean, europeans designers and mostly nordic ones, have a specific writing style. Looks like Heidi Kirrmaier is in Canada from her Ravelry profile, so who knows 😺 I'm not sure which pattern I'll choose, I kinda want to make them both so I need a plan ! My appointment went well from an outside eye I guess, the surgery should happen next Fall. I have no other schedule right now because the hospital system was down. We'll see next week ❤️ I always think I won't have outtakes and I finally do ! I was deleting all of them before without any after thought ! So what is on your needles right now ?
I am a worrier too, especially before important events, such as a surgery. After it is all over you will wonder why you stressed so much over it, but this is human nature. I wish you the best of luck with the surgeon appointment and I do hope your surgery is scheduled soon. As I said before, it is not good to be in pain for a long time, even if you endure it with bravery. I also hope your kind friend Rosemary will get better very soon. Sending you good vibes from Ireland! Looking forward to your completed sweater using the Drops design. It looks really nice, but then again, everything you make is very nice.
Dear Magda, thank you so much, and thank you for Rosemary ❤️ The hospital system was down, so I still need to work out the details and appointments. Surgery will be next Fall, so I still have a bit of time ahead of me, unless a spot miraculously gets available. We'll do all the work and scanners and stuff to be ready. I already have a sleeve done on Oatfield, I may do the bind off again because it flares out, now on the second sleeve 😺 I am sure all you make is also delightful ☀️
That cowl is the prettiest cowl ever! Try not to be too stressed regarding your surgery and all the planning and details. I can tell that you have a very strong mind and you will get through it all before you know it. Worrying about your cats and your mom will probably be the toughest part I’m sure. What wonderful gifts. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you much Robyn, I need these words ❤️ The planning has begun for next Fall, not sure I feel relieved. I do not have a schedule for now as the hospital system was down.. I'll see next week. In the fall there won't be problems with having my cats taken care of, my mom, once again, I'll see. Please take good care of yourself ☀️
I am so pleased you love your belated birthday gift 🎉❤🎉 I am also thrilled you finished the gorgeous cowl. It’s brilliant you were able to get the pesky stain out of your beautiful top.❤ Sending my love Rosemary xxx
Thank you so much my dear Rosemary, all of this is made possible thanks to you (and other lovely yous, you know who you are). I am sending soothing and healing little stitches all the way to you, you are too kind and too generous 💜💜💜
Sending you all good thoughts and hoping you find peace of mind and comfort knowing you will be fine once the surgery is over. You give us hours of enjoyment sharing your knits. Best wishes ❤️
Thank you much Joan, for now I am hoping for comfort. I kinda am afraid of not being able to do what I used to, I need not to think too much about that ❤️
Your knits are very lovely. I hope you find help for your pain soon, it is terribly debilitating to cope with chronic pain. Joy and happinesses being sent your way, Isabel, and to Rosemary.
Thank you much Marguerite, and yes it is. Once I have an appointment set up (the hospital system was down..) I'll be into what they call "Patient School" where you get to see all the persons involved and there is one dedicated to the pain. I hope this will work :) Thank you for Rosemary too ❤️
Wow, that turquoise cowl is gorgeous. It makes your eye color pop beautifully. I think a split hem would be perfect for that Drops sweater-looks like a lovely pattern. Good luck with the surgeon and hope you can offer some relief very soon. I know that here in the US there are companies that find pet/house sitters for people who like to travel. Of course because they will be taking care of pets, they cannot be traveling so much but at least they will be in an area where they can explore. I have a friend who is doing this over the summer and I am also looking into it for my dog rather than putting her in a doggie hotel. Anyway, hope all is well with you!
Thank you much, the cowl is not leaving my neck, just to sleep ! I know that colour suits me well. I also think I'll do a slip hem on the Oatfield sweater. I have a luxury hotel for my cats in the next village, and they already have been there multiple times. The "cages" are not that big, and the fees are .. luxury .. but they are well cared for. Surgery should be in the fall, so no problems to have room there (summer time is another story). I also know of a pet sitter who looks after cats at her home. Peluche being so territorial, Onyx so scared of everything, only Ramses would fit in, and be quite stressed out I guess. In the pet boarding service, Onyx and Ramses are together and next to Peluche when possible, so it is a better option for them I think 😺❤️
Such beautiful and thoughtful gifts! Hoping you find relief soon. I wish I were there to look after your kitties and drive you to mohair farms this summer!
Oh thank you Sherie, how thoughtful of you ❤️ We'd tour my favorite mohair places, discover some more, and buy local yarn for the winter time 😺 Edit : they loved their gifts !
Dear Paula, thank you so much. What a beautiful country, I've always had this dream about visiting Australia, all the people I know who did were so impressed ❤️
Thank you much Michelé, I always watch your videos and rarely comment myself, I should do that more often as I like the interaction so much ! I have a couple goals I may word out, this will be one of them ❤️
@isabelle.duchatelle I'm looking forward to your chats. I have made a video for some time, and I value your message as a motivation and will try again to be more frequently ❤
Thank you much Hollie, his first appointments are in September. I'll be scheduling things soon, I'm a bit in the middle right now. Sending sparkling little stitches your way ❤️
I'm watching this after your appointment. I hope it went well and that you got some answers. Surgery can seem scary, and the planning can seem overwhelming, but it will be worth it once you are free from that pain. Just look at it as a knitting vacation. Think of how many stitches you will create. 😊 I'm praying for you. 🙏
Thank you Jill, I am waiting for them to call me back to set up all the schedule - goal is September .. (the hospital system was down when I was there and the secretary only works Tuesday - Thursday (I'll call her this Thursday if she has not done so). The stress is a bit different now. I have casted on Yara last night - this one will require my attention which is good. happy little stitches over to you ❤️
@@isabelle.duchatelle I'm glad you at least have a plan in place now. And are you referring to the Yara shawl (Natasja Hornby)? I have yet to knit one of her patterns, but they are gorgeous. This was certainly will require your attention. Haha. I can't wait to watch you share this on your videos. I'm knitting socks with a new-to-me heel that I think I'm going to love. So we'll see how they turn out. Many blessings and happy stitches to you!
Oh yes, this one (I have talked about it in my videos, sorry not to be more precise). I have a couple in my queue, this was the first one. What heel are you knitting ? So far, for my first ever sock, I have done the usual flap and gusset. Will se my son this WE so he will try it out to see if it fits him, then onto the second one ! See you soon ❤️
@@isabelle.duchatelle I remember you mentioning Natsja in your video, I just didn't remember many of the details. As for the sock heel -- I knit toe up, but this heel (I hear) works exactly the same going cuff down. Although it uses short rows, it's not the typical short row heel. It's the Sweet Tomato Heel by Cat Bordhi. I'll see if this reply lets me include link to the video -- for future reference, since you've already done completed one heel. ruclips.net/video/IRc3309JUyc/видео.htmlsi=TuXIxmaceTeFYXyw
I hope your surgeon gave you some favorable answers - and the surgeon and the cat sitter can coordinate. We have two horses and five cats - my husband could care for the cats, but he is not a horse person. I often worry about what would happen if I got sidelined for some reason. So as I'm weaving in ends, I'm weaving in happy thoughts for you - and Rosemarie - and all.
Thank you much Ellen, it should happen early September (the hospital system was down, they should call me back next week) and there won't be any problem to have my cats boarded into their luxury hotel at this time :) I understand, we need to anticipate and have solutions if we need to be away for any reason. I am used to boarding my cats during the summer time, but for the summer, I have to have made reservations in Jan-Feb.. There are very few places for cats. And than you for the happy thoughts, I made my second sleeve 2 rows too long in the ribbing, so I'll do that again tonight, sending happy little stitches over to you. Yes my Oatfield sweater is almost finished !
