I bought a pair of shoes that are allegedly a 6 but I can barely squeeze my feet into them so I’ve been slowly trying to break them in and I keep thinking of this episode.
Well, I blame corporate jobs. Without stiletto/heel shoes, women are classified as "not dressing professionally". Then I blame designers, who apparently feel is OK to crumble women's feet into shoes that are normally too narrow to accomodate the toes without crushing them. Look at the right shoe at 2:03 That would only work if your middle toe was the big one, not the one in the side. And you normally only realize that shoes hurt your feet AFTER several hours of wearing, walking and standing on them. They don't hurt while you are trying them on at the store. I am lucky I can do my job wearing sneakers...
Shoes and jewellery buddy. They have something in common - they still fit when you put on weight (you have to really bulk up for this not to be true). It's why women are obsessed with them. True.
@@winsomehax I disagree. The shoe size changes over the years. I went from a 37 to a 38 and had to get rid of perfectly good shoes that would not fit me anymore and ended up causing blisters in my feet - bear in mind that I am in my 40s and no longer growing up. Also, if one gains weight there is a good chance that chokers (ribbon chokers or chain chokers) would not fit anymore. I went from a 16 inches choker to a 18-20 inches choker, or the former would not let me be comfortable.
