@@rdallas81 Absolutely correct. My husband and I are out on the streets of our area every weekend, attempting to get people to discuss the current situation and what to do about it in person, and they all treat us like crazy people. So I really don't care what the predictions are. I just want to grow my portfolio. I read that people are pulling in massive profits despite the downturn. Any tips on how they do it?
I think it's the professionals and those who use their services that are really pulling in the big money right now. There are really advisors that can help you achieve very consistent growth. I have a friend who pulled in more than $94k profit within three months. So you just have to make some research and get one who fits your fin-goal.
The market will always recover. The goal is to find quality stocks with long term potential. It's hard for the average Joe to do this, because it involves following a lot of industry news, following up with earnings, etc. It's easier to invest through an advisor who knows how stuff works, and make rocket returns.

Keeping up with industry news and earnings can be time-consuming and difficult. What is money? 8th grade teacher gave lesson that it is simply the transfer of value and unless you are an economics major it is not taught in public education. Thanks for this Hudson is awesome. I learned something new for a change. So insightful this needs more exposure and media coverage.
I've been trying to understand economics the last couple years, and I really like Michael Hudsons work. Also reading David Graeber's Debt: The First 5,000 Years. And lots of marxist things showing so many holes in the mainstream economics/pro capitalism explanations of how an economy works. And one major theme I'm seeing in my reading, is that a lot of the foundations of economics are non-scientific Just-So Stories like what you'd see from a the bad kind of evolutionary biologist. And they're justified by cherry picking the occasions where they work on in favor of the theory and ignore all the situations where the explanations don't match reality.
Good point. Something shocking I saw was Hitler speech translated by AI. Insane to ever agree with Hitler, but.... People should never be told the anti social concept of hoarding money which causes inflation.
Hudson is amazing. I recommend his website which contains transcripts of a lot of podcasts he does. Rough transcriptions sometimes but usually very informative.
"The role of money is to polarize a society. The role of the chieftan is to reduce polarization as much as possible" ~ Michael Hudson paraphrase starting at minute 57 of above interview
If you will read the Bible you will find the institution of the Jubilee years also there. And Jesus, who said that he wanted to recover ancient traditions, seems to want to reinstitute it, in fact in his main prayer he says "forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors", which is how it sounds from the original Greek text. "Strangely" the English version translates it instead "and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us", removing the word "debt". I don't think it's a case. In any case also the churches who use the original version with debt tend to interpret it only allegorically, neglecting the literal "revolutionary" meaning behind it.
Michael Hudson is a very smart and well educated man and I have seen many of interviews over the years Sadly the corporate media won't interview people like him that lay out the facts.

@@aakashjohari8158me when a podcast host knows less about the economy than an economist who's been doing it for 60 years
It's bad math.Capitalism only works great until you run out of other countries.Money and resources.
Unfortunately, as much as he and professor wolf are called communists, neither one of them are
I am from Brazil. Love the idea of debt cancelation.
So, if a few people owed you money- say a few thousand dollars- would you forgive their debt?
Exactly.
People should pay their debts..
That's what keeps things moving forward.
Then you should be able to explain why it was used and who it applied to?
One of the best-ever discussions on this channel. A ton of knowledge compressed into 1.5 hours that went by in a flash.
Thanks!
Thank you Robinson for your magnificent guest, Mr Huddson❤
Thank you, too!
GOD BLESS MICHAEL HUDSON
!
I discovered Michael Hudson and Richard Wolff recently. I am so glad I did! 🙂🇿🇦🙂🇿🇦
Mr Hudson is a gentleman and a scholar. I usually dont like before watching. But I am probably justified in doing so.
hahaha i appreciate that
Always the best analysis.
thanks for tuning in :)
The late David Graeber, anthropologist, built upon this work. The idea of academics working together, especially economists listening to other disciplines, is essential for our survival. And very rare.
What a treat. A face to face discussion with the goat. And MH has impeccable style as well. Those suspenders 🤌🏻 Thank you Robinson
Wow I will have to watch this again, fascinating, history we were definitely denied in 'school'. Thanks. Hetty Scotland
thank you hetty!
I'll share on twitter...👍
I review everything Huson does many times . ( A man must know his limitations. )
Wow, just three or four short questions & great listening skills by the host, and the guest lecturing and sharing his sixty plus years of knowledge over the course of ninety minutes!
10 minutes in, this man is getting straight to the point! Very similar to chomsky's critique of neoliberalism so far, from what I can tell, good stuff robinson!
thank you!!
Chomsky is a clown.
Hudson is not.
This brilliant man worth his weight in Gold.
And more
Great episode. You’re killing it dude!
thanks so much!!!
Title: the end of civilization

🏦 End of Civilization = Year of Jubilee 🤑
The genius Michael Hudson!
Michael Hudson is, hands down, the world's greatest living economist.
Great Hudson!! The greatest honest economist on earth!! Only two of his works have been translated into Italian but that was enough for me to understand who he was!!
Nice, you got professor Hudson out of his bat cave 😂. You should be extremely honoured.
I am!
Amazing interview, thank you for having Michael Hudson on the podcast.
It's refreshing to hear somebody speak about the truth.
I really love listening to the Prof. He makes clear some very difficult concepts, but most of all, he makes it interesting.
Which concepts would those be?
Great job Robinson.@ your work on formulating the questions.
thank you! that's so nice to hear.
We’re in a space age renaissance. What a time to be alive and here to hear Dr Hudson!
Michael Hudson is a genius in his field.
If his pants were any higher he could save buying shirts altogether. Now that's economics!

Michael Hudson is adorable.
Never trust a man in a three-piece suit and a belt...
Truly an enlightening and eye-opening conversation with @ProfHudson. Thank you @RobinsonErhardt for this talk. Please continue to bring such enlightening topics to the fore to enable us to know the malaise that afflicts us today, and if we don't course-correct then where we are headed as a country and society. Thank you!
thank you so much for watching!
@@robinsonerhardt Btw, you're a good host allowing the guest to formulate their entire thought and lay it out from the cause to the effect without interruptions. Thank you and keep it up! 🙏
War, conflict, and debt are constructs for wealth transfer. Who benefits? Hint - the Bank of England was founded in 1694. Thank you Michael Hudson for your insight, understanding, and objective truthful awareness.
Great Michael Hudson! Thanks Robinson
A free excellent education! Probably available nowhere else. Thank you, Professor Hudson and Mr.Erhardt.
His interpretation of history is interesting. He uses the example of the scythe to talk about egalitarianism and limiting the power of the 1%. Aristotle uses that same example to talk about how tyrants (who are the most powerful members of the 1%) can keep power against democratic or oligarchic insurrections.
Great interview. Always something to learn from the deeply knowledgeable Michael Hudson.
Thanks for this, brilliant jewels of knowledge and learning from Michael, as ever.✔
Glad you enjoyed it!
Economist Michael Hudson is a parragon of wisdom.
"Wonder leaves enlightened minds, when ignorance no longer blinds." Bk 4: Section V, and Song V: Wonder and Ignorance The Consolation of Philosophy by Anicius Manlius Severinus Boethius (c. 480 - 525)
"If Plato's teaching errest not, we learn but that we have forgot." Bk 3: Section XI, and Song XI: Reminiscence The Consolation of Philosophy by Anicius Manlius Severinus Boethius (c. 480 - 525)
What is money? 8th grade teacher gave lesson that it is simply the transfer of value and unless you are an economics major it is not taught in public education.
Thanks for this Hudson is awesome. I learned something new for a change. So insightful this needs more exposure and media coverage.
So good.
Thanks for this interview (lecture).
Glad you enjoyed it!
Mr. Hudson that was an awesome summation. Much respect to you. You are a diamond in the rough in my view. Keep doing what you're doing.❤
I'm glad you found this!
Good point. Something shocking I saw was Hitler speech translated by AI. Insane to ever agree with Hitler, but.... People should never be told the anti social concept of hoarding money which causes inflation.
This was great! Thank you for hosting and sharing with everyone
Great interview! Absolutely amazing! Thank you!
Very, very interesting!! Thanks for interviewing this man!
Thank you! Nice to see Professor Hudson relaxing with a cool drink!
Big love, Mr. Robinson Erhardt.
Hudson is amazing. I recommend his website which contains transcripts of a lot of podcasts he does. Rough transcriptions sometimes but usually very informative.
What an insightful program!
"The role of money is to polarize a society. The role of the chieftan is to reduce polarization as much as possible" ~ Michael Hudson paraphrase starting at minute 57 of above interview
Well done Robinson, greatly appreciated!
Caesar would be impressed.
We're using his Playbook.
Thank you.
Always fascinating listening to Michael Hudson.
Great and thought-provoking feature. Thank you.
Educational and fun
A brilliant exposition !! Thank you.
Michael Hudson is a very smart and well educated man and I have seen many of interviews over the years
Sadly the corporate media won't interview people like him that lay out the facts.
Does anyone know the names of the books Hudson worked on with a group that he speaks about up till 21:00 I would love a deep history book, or perhaps all volumes are available online?
"The History of Debt " is a good one.
_"I used to be interested in debt."_ relatable, sir. Relatable.
hahaha

Wonderful discussion! Imagine if the education system and media were as interested in educating people as the two of you.
So profound. I'd really like to see the book published.
