I've played it for many years in a very humble neighborhood in Brazil. I spent afternoons playing it at a bus station in Campo Grande, Rio de Janeiro. Nowadays, I play it on Pinball Fx3, a videogame. I'm so glad you share the same pinball nostalgia I do. Have a good life, folks!
My favourite pinball, was at my local arcade and i used to play it alot. I'll never own one lol, but I feel nice to have played it so much, even made some good high scores back then, I play the digital versions here and there, but yeah, nothing will ever touch that original feeling
1:46 "They developed the necessary mechanics for it (castle) to work." WRONG. The center turret base is made of plastic as usually doesn't last more than 2 weeks. You can buy replacements for it from Marco, Pinball Inc, etc.. but they are also made of plastic and wont last any longer. Taking that castle base out of the game, taking off the e clips, removing the turret etc.. is a real PITA. Im about to get someone to make metal bases with a 4 axis CNC machine...:)
Just got a brand new MMR yesterday :-) Almost 20 years after I played it for the first time as a young student....FINALLY I got my hands on one of these Remakes !!!! I am HAPPY :)))
I never heard of this pinball being around until I got pinball underground on a Amazon tablet. And let me tell you, I'm not gonna get tired of playing it anytime soon.
I own a Cactus Canyon SE remake and a Monster Bash SE remake. I have a Medieval Madness SE remake on order. Unfortunately I sold my MM in 2004 for $5500; hey that is what they were worth then. Still makes me sad. Anyway, having owned the other two remakes I have every bit of confidence that, provided they make another run as promised in 2023, that it will be every bit as amazing as the other CGC remakes I already own. If they remake White Water I'm getting on line for that too. Gotta love 0% interest credit cards!!!!
Looks like a beaglebone black is used as core !!! Few month ago I decided to try to build a pinball machine and I also thought Beaglebone black would be a good core !
Im looking forward to getting one of these re-make pinball machines. I hear that Attack from Mars is supposed to be the next re-make after this one? I would love to see them re-make Cactus Canyon or Monster Bash because those are as well very rare to play and expensive to purchase used.
This is the sexiest video I've ever seen. Heh heh... Thanks for posting! Really great! Ps- Fighting to legalize pinball?!? Wrap your mind around THAT for a minute...
I want a MM for my game room. I also cannot wait to make my own pinball machine been working on it for awhile now have a lot on it but still a lot to put on the playfield yet. :)
I wonder how easy and not confusing will be fix or find parts for limited custom hardware machine really different from the original WMS model based on standard wpc95 hardware (used on thousand of other machine and still available in most pinball parts resellers); as collector this thing pushes me away by dreaming one of these MM remake.
So when are these actually going into production? Last I heard the project was months behind, allegedly because of issues with the electrical system. Personally I would love one, but I'm having a hard time justifying the cost.
If any pinball deserves a remake it's medieval madness pinball machine. My top 3 Pinball.
