My guess would be the word 'okachimenko' and 'okamechinko' differ only in the position of the character 'chi' and 'me' : okaCHIMEnko and okMECHInko. By letting them say 'okchimenko' a bunch of times, you let them get used to it and at the end you throw them off by saying a word that is very similar to 'okamechinko' like 'okaMECHIyoko' where 'me' comes before 'chi' . This throws people off and they end up swapping too and saying 'okameCHINKO' instead.
I assume its the same thing that happens with the game where you say pizza ten times, then get asked what do you call the joint in your arm and people will say hiza meaning knees
Words and objects can influence your memory. Our brain have a sorting stuff when remembering words. Oka chi me n ko is under oka word memory. A pretty hard word to remember. So by saying oka me chi yo ko a sudden new word you muzzle up their memories and make them believe that oka me is in the word you remembered and they just put the last few remaining syllables into words that they already know which is chinko
