Hi Dr Solar, Thanks for making video. I got these SolaX Triple Power Battery Master and slave and tried to run with Sungrow Hybrid inverter. The slave got measured at 117 voltages, and the master was not given any output whilst I connected series with the short cable from the slave and also turned the arrow to 4 that required setting to measure the master unit. Also didn't pair with the inverter, which turned off itself soon after turning on after flecking green/red alternatively for about 10 seconds and then amber for 2 seconds, then turned off. Your help is much appreciated.
Hi, great video! Do you see the slave battery on the app as a separate battery or is it just 1 battery charging to encompass both master/slave? THanks!
Good morning. Thank you for watching and commenting. You don't see the slave Battery as a separate battery. You see one battery but at a higher voltage because the two are in series. I hope this helped. Welcome to the channel
Hey, do you have any thermal issues? You installed them closer together as indicated in the manual (32-38cm distance)..just wondering, because I’ve got a bit of a problem with space..
Hi question have a 2nd solax tripple battery that I'm trying to add to the existing battery but struggling to disconnect the mc4 loop cable any tips or tools to help with this?
@Dr Solar @AWPS Renewable Energy, LTD I didn't see any tools in the slave battery pack was it in this or the primary one as I never installed the primary
It is not really very complicated. You have to be comfortable working with high voltage. You will have to open the master battery to adjust the dip switch settings. Step 1 turn the breakers off starting with the PV, then turn the inverter off. Turn the battery breaker off. Open the battery cover (BMS), turn the BMS off and then turn the breaker inside the battery off. There is a cable that loops around at the right side of the battery. You have to disconnect that. Remove it. You will put it in the same position on the right side of your 2nd battery. Then connect the supplied positive and negative. The communications cables and then that cable that you had removed. The dial on the BMS twist to position 1. Put breaker on (battery) turn BMS on. And you should be good to go
Thinking of getting a solax T3 5.8 kw battery to go with Solax X1 boost inverter, is yours a Hybrid or standard like mine. How many kw ? Great video, helpful. Thx
@@drsolar Thankyou, i have just had an email from my installer, that i will need to change my inverter over to a solax hybrid for it to work well with the T58 battery.
I will cycle it a few times. I might turn the pv off and discharge it tomorrow just to get a better idea of where I am. Thanks for watching and commenting. The Triple Power battery is performing very well though.
So you have wine bottles but claim there is no wine in it. So where did the wine go, Doc? Did you share a drink with the battery system the night before? Because I agree that after a night of running AC the BMS must be drunk saying that it is still at 92%... LOL Most important thing though is that you are not in the dark anymore. Praise the power of solar!
All hail the solar. I confess. I drank them and use the bottles to store water. The BMS sadly did not share any with me. Maybe, just maybe I will give it some tonight. It takes a little bit of time for these things to calibrate. The two batteries had different states of charge when we married them. So in a few days they should be okay.
Orange led on battery BMS, that was after adding extra battery. Today all is good, all green. Perhaps old and new battery had to synchronise SOC. Thanks
@@marcinch9553 what was the state of charge of the first battery when you added the new? It take a charge cycle or two for them to balance depending on SOC
@@offgridwanabe in an open loop system that might be applicable, In a close loop system there is communications between the inverter and the battery, As long as you full charge them every other day, the BMS does a fairly good job of relaying SOC to the inverter. Hey thank you for watching and commenting. Solax is a proprietary battery will only work with a Solax inverter.
Thanks for your .
Hi, can these be wall mounted as well? I have limited space on the floor level but could fit them on the wall closer to the ceiling.

@BlackBeltBarrister sounds just like my voltage. Yes. Do you have the single phase inverter? Thanks for the love please give the video a like.

92% was not real. We will see in the morning
good news about the batteries. are you feeling better.
I was always confident in SolaX. But like you observed. I feel much much better that I can run the AC all night and keep my Fridge and freezer on

Thank you for watching and commenting. No thermal issues whatsoever. They don't really get that warm. The electronics are at the top of the batteries.

Hi i have a G4 hybird inverter, a master battery and a slave. Do i need an EPS for this?
The G4 can work in EPS mode. You have all you need to use the battery.

Is it possible for a DIY to install a second battery to a existing 5.8kw could you show and chat about installation. Hi from Ireland.
