  • Sir Keir Starmer has been Prime Minister for just about 50 days now, half way through his first 100 days.
Britain will get worse before it gets better, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is set to warn in first major speech as premier.
Since its landslide election win, Labour has blamed several problems on the Tories - including on economic policy that Chancellor Rachel Reeves has described as a "black hole".
Sir Keir is expected to develop that line of attack further on Tuesday, saying things are "worse than we ever imagined".
He will say: "In the first few weeks, we discovered a £22 billion black hole in the public finances. And don't let anyone say that this is performative, or playing politics.
"The OBR did not know about this. They wrote a letter saying so. They didn't know - because the last government hid it."
Carol Vorderman uses this opportunity to give Starmer a 'mid-term school report' grading him a five to six out of 10 so far and explains why.

Please can you signpost me how you look on this. Ive tried google it but I assume its like searching Alex Jones. Youll get results but not what you wanted to see.
Its bad enough we are gifting huge sums abroad. Allowing for a crisis in migration and paying the civil servants money for extra homes when our grandparents those who paved the way for this nation are expected to take a loss. A loss that was promised not to happen with the energy cap.
These anti establishment loose laws have spurred me to learn all I can while I can.
Im not calling for riots either but we all need to start cluing up on all this. Knowledge is Power and weve become too trusting and complacent of the people we elected. The only right they have being there is because people wanted it.
Why il never know but I respecy the system.
Working Class Labour voters surely see this is all wrong and were sold on a lie. Take a bow anyone reading this did btw.
I thought Blair and Brown taught us enough I was wrong.

She stood up for many by criticising this . If the Tories had been , for example , the Tory party of 40 or 50 yrs ago she would not have been so vociferous in her attacks . Now they’re taking away the winter fuel allowance so still have to work as had to go to bed at 6.30 last winter. If they’re going to do this then make the utilities pay more or stop them putting up the price of gas and electricity, enough is enough now. All the processes they've started such as sorting out pay deals, jailing violent thugs quickly and effectively, bolstering workers rights, hiring ministers of state who are actually competent in the related field seems to be being completely glossed over, all over pensioners (who have voted in a majority for the ruination of this country) having a fuel subsidy means-tested.

An astonishing 547,000 work-related visas were issued, 260,000 of which were for dependants. A massive 69% of them were to dependants of those coming to work in the Health and Social Care sector many of would be earning wages below the national average. A further 98,906 visas were family-related, an incredible 40% increase from the previous year. Meanwhile 75,000 visas were issued to those granted humanitarian protection; this figure increases to 93,342 when those granted leave to remain on humanitarian grounds are added.
Despite the government, seemingly, taking comfort from a modest reduction in overall numbers from the year before - largely because of measures (belatedly) introduced by the Tories, immigration is running at full throttle. And adding huge numbers to our population.
