The Gardens Mall's Community Pantry 2020 with PERTIWI Soup Kitchen

In 2020, as Malaysia grappled with Covid-19, one easily overlooked group was the B40 community. As many from this community had lost their sources of income during the Movement Control Order, The Gardens Mall took a step towards lightening their burden as they started to get back on their feet. Working with PERTIWI Soup Kitchen, Jaya Grocer, and with the help of its shoppers, the mall collected groceries for these underprivileged families.
Shoppers donated pantry staples such as rice, oil, sugar, salt, soy sauce, crackers, and so much more. Thank you to everyone involved in this exercise and helped the B40 community registered under PERTIWI Soup Kitchen.
