agreed! i'm of the firm believe that people shouldn't have to change (more or less), in order to get along with others. just as you said: if you change the viewpoint. but reaching a more broadened understanding of many things, then it's easier to understand others too. so, in a sense, we are changing, but it's not who we are that we're changing, we're simply growing and becoming more of who we will be. however it's our decisions that will shape that change. people need to try to be more willing to do that...

Ice needs the water to produce her element, while earth needs fire to hold it’s form. When combined, the second elements are able to come forth. Water and fire, together, to create life.
Also: I love the chunky character. I think she’s beautiful and amazing. The confidence, strength and grace she has makes me feel a bit more comfortable in my own body.
I was so surprised when I saw how little people apparently saw this short film here on RUclips, it is absolutely GORGEOUS and the animation quality is amazing!! Wow. I LOVE this idea! Rock replaces fire, but is still hot enouggh to melt the ice, and make the soil/greens. The characters are adorable, the music is phenomenal, and each little detail is insane! I have no regrets watching this at 3am, I tell you what. This is amazing.
The beauty, the design, the characters, their personalities and the work put on this film is wonderfully perfect. Also the storytelling and the moral of it is flawless. I learned a lot from that film, since i can relate to the icey character being angry at things not being the way she likes or always does and starting a fight about it, kinda cold lol sometimes working togheter can be nice
The first bit reminds me of a video I once saw of two tigers patrolling the edge where their territories met. Both of them knew _exactly_ where the line was, even though nobody else could see it, and both of them were pacing within inches of each other, but not crossing that invisible line.
Oh my gosh, this is absolutely amazing! I was so invested in the characters in a short amount of time and its so good that the two made up in the end. The art is so beautiful too! 💗 💕 💞
Oh my god this is so good! Actually food for the soul. Love the character designs. Ice snake/bat/cat? Or was it wolf? The expression and the ears make me think wolf. I love the interaction between the two characters at the end, where they're looking back at the past and feeling guilty but getting past it.
This was a wonderful animation, I still come back to watch it every once in a while. X3 I noticed that the moment Bau and Moor collided into each other and got scars, they couldn't create solid properties anymore, The same solid properties that they used to create their home, add more to their territory and also used as weapons against each other. It's like their injuries of opposing elements nullified something in them that their craft doesn't stay solid. Though after seeing the remains of their solid rock and ice that was used towards each other, they both probably don't want to go back to creating solid ice and rock since it reminds them of their pointless fued, and they found more joy in creating life and being friends instead.
The character designs and character movement in this short is just so so so pleasing to the eye... Love it so much especially Moor's. There is just such a good fluidity of motion with them and the sleek design they have got.
In an age when so many big movies take the approach of "tell, don't show" and lean more on exposition than actual scenes, I love that this conveys such a heartwarming and hints at an even deeper story to come with any dialogue at all.
I looovvvvve how the Rock one, Bau, creates in a flowy yet blocky manner, while the Ice one, Moor, creates in a neat yet sharp manner! Usually, ice creation is depicted more chaotic, while rock as more uniform with clean lines. It works so well and looks so good 🤩🥰
I love how you manage to tell a story with only the characters expressions and movements,no words needed. And you can clearly tell characters personalities: Ice dragon is a short temper perfectionist, who can't admit they are wrong,and can't stand someone changing their creation even a little bit, needs control of everything. The horse like girl? Is definitely more calm, and rational, they didn't want to engage in a fight at first, they seems to be a pacifist. They are very empathetic and understanding towards a dragon.

This is one of those hidden gems that needs to get uncovered, this animation perfectly contrast the opposing sides each conflicted to one another but something miracle happens a whole new brew created something unseen before this was a very mesmerizing moment and it made a truce between of these characters. gosh i do love the symbolism
I'm not sure if this is intended or not, but the characters seem to be personifications of the hot and cold sides of tidally locked planets to me. The hot side is always facing the star it orbits and is perpetually illuminated and scorched while the cold side faces away from the star and is permanently dark and frozen over. It's theorized that where they meet at the prime meridian of the planet, there might be a band of habitable land where life might be found.
This short is AMAZING! I was surprised at how little views it had, even though the animation is gorgeous!! I love the character designs and the flow of the animation. Outstanding job!! ❤
This reminds me of an old school project where we designed a world like this and had to give it an explanation. Essentially, the planet was tidally locked, meaning that the planet rotated to perfectly match its orbit so the same side was always facing the star it orbited around. This results in what we see above, a cold side (facing away from the sun) and a hot side (facing towards the sun), with life only being able to exist in the middle due to the extreme climates.
I love how this animation gives some Creation mythology/folklore story vibes, like this is story of two elementals and how they created life on a planet somewhere. ^^
My friend sent me to this video and I just want to say that this is a fantastically well done animation. The art style is very unique and interesting, and the story is very engaging. I like the concept of elemental characters learning to get along despite their differences. Nice work! You did great 👍

Love short films like this. I was drawn in by the 'Moor'. Her sharp but simple design and personality that appreciates order and neatness. Resembles a fox, or a dog but a unique fictional design. Something I wish I knew the inspiration for. So I kept watching. I could only keep watching, for among the 0 words that were uttered, the animation spoke volumes. I cannot state more whether I loved your clean animation style more or the lovely story said illustration is based on.
One of the many amazing details that I especially liked was the forms of the 'elemental slinging' the ice is more sharp and Harder feeling than most depictions of 'ice slinging', meanwhile the rock is more flowing and softer than, for example, Avatar's Rock bending.
I really like that I didn't have to cry to still enjoy a short film like this! It's still a powerful message! I just didn't get so emotional I cried this time! Yay :')
