@@Darksomnium This was a beautiful story written by an actual, 3D human being. You know how I can tell? It lacks something. It lacks that annoying misuse of language, particularly familiar phrases commonly used by all English speaking people. The AI simply doesn't understand the particular meanings attached because it lacks the actual experience of having a body and being alive in a body. Therefore it has difficulty self correcting whenever it uses a phrase improperly, because it doesn't know what it doesn't know, and therefore it cannot 'see' it's mistakes. However, it continues to learn, and it is improving. Some of its 'writers' are more sophisticated than others. But they all have this annoying habit of misusing common terms or phrases. It isn't bad storytelling. It's the network learning how to mimic human activity. Since we consider ourselves to be a species that uses storytelling to convey meaning throughout time, it seems that the use of language within storytelling might be interpreted as a kind of gauge by which one could measure the progress of a growing AI. The phenomena might be somebody's Turring Test in real time. Either way, RUclips is flooded with it, making real human storytelling that much more refreshing. I don't know why I decided to unload all of that here and I know what I just said probably sounds downright crazy to the average person, and l could legitimately be accused of pure conjecture. All I ask is that you keep it in mind the next time you hear the uncomfortable misuse of a commonly spoken word or phrase. Notice that the proper use cannot be logically deduced without the aide of some kind of actual experience. For example, the only way you can know how frostbite feels is not to have necessarily experienced frostbite, but to at least have a hand and know what that feels like is enough to enable our minds to imagine what frostbite probably feels like. But the machine, who has no hands, cannot make this connection, and simply misses what it doesn't get. Also, these web bots like to use the commutative rule (math) on language (which works more often than we think it should) but it exposes itself when it applies the rule to certain common phrases, particularly if those phrases are logically deduced only with the aide of some kind of physical experience. Then the phrase becomes nearly nonsensical in the hands of the AI, pun intended. Look, see if what I am describing is out there. That's all I ask. Fini'

I FINALLY finished the left right game after a week of listening on my way back and forward to work, and then you dropped the complete version of this story. It's fun to see how different you sound in the two. Who does the female voice? I noticed its in your more recent videos. The way the your voice and the female voice sound together adds dept to the stories, and the way that both of you narrate is almost identical.
this has gotta be one of the most satisfying and strangely calming in a way stories I've heard on this channel so far. Unlike a lot of stories the ending was really pretty sweet
I know this is old and probably will never be seen but man this story always gets me. I love mystery stories and must have listened to it at least 10 times all the way through. As a 21 year old guy im not ashamed to say when I hear that "nobody's perfect Paulie, you did the best you could" I just start sobbing 😂. Such a perfect ending to a great tale. Thank you Mr Somnium, you'll always be my #1 story teller. Love ya man.
I was so surprised to hear MrCreepypasta in this one. He's also one of my favorite narrators, cool to know that you guys know each other. There's two other narrators that I also listen to, Swamp Dweller and Campfire Tales, and they know each other as well.
Man, your narrations are just impeccable. No errors, sound effects that don't break immersion, and fantastic pacing/emotion. I'm totally smitten with this channel!
Hi Somnium! I stumbled upon your work about 6 or 7 weeks ago and am OBSESSED! You are such a talent, from the production amd music to emotive style of narration. Thank you so much for everything my friend and I wish much success to you!
I've been listening to your creepy pastas stories for a while and Everytime I listen to them I get chills and I love to hear your voice narrating these stories, heck you inspired me to make my own channel and now i have 21 subs. So, thank you so much!!!
Leeches don't behave like that at all, and some species are used in medical cases. In instances of a severed diget, like a finger, leeches are used to maintain healthy blood flow during the healing process. Hope this makes you less scared.
This narration captured the reality of the real world how people are killed , false imprisoned , looked over by law enforcement but it also shows some officers or detectives will try to find out the real story even if it doesn't make them popular . I applaud you guys for this story it was done beautifully. Applause for the officers , detectives, and etc . who will fight for the truth because in today's world it's easy to not try.😊
GODDAMN GOOD STORY! Held me hostage from beginning to end, cycling through a wild range of emotions that finished with goosebumps on my arms & a triumphant grin on my face. Well done.
I’ve gotten into the habit of starting these to sleep. Then rewinding to where I remember in the morning and listening on my commute to work. This is a GREAT story with even greater telling.
That’s what I do as well! Only this is... like with this story, during the part when the mother was telling her story about the woman’s birth, I was tearing up a bit and co-workers are looking at me like “oh my god, I hope everything’s ok! Why is Rocky & Bullwinkle sad?!?!
Dark If you ever happen to read this I'd like to say you have a gift for finding great stories to narrate. The narration and production are above and beyond. This is an exceptional story that kicks you in the feels. The other character narrators involved deserved to be praised as well.
I’ve been turning to your narrations while doing daily chores. It’s the perfect mix of audiobook and movie. I don’t have to pay attention to anything visual but so much more interesting than a long, drawn-out audiobook
The second that "police officer" showed up, I felt very uncomfortable.. And the tongue in the fridge.. gave me shivers. I've played horror games, watched horror movies, had nightmares.. and I've watched a lot of your videos but holy smokes this freaked me out.
My Man. Your reading skills and the entire setup has evolved SO MUCH from what it once was! I absolutely love what you have done with the channel and the way you go about the story telling. Really forms a picture in one's imagination and brings those stories to life! Fantastic stuff. Keep it up!
when i started listening to this story there was only part 1 didnt see the "part 1" in the title as listen to your playlists all the time, usually i dont touch a "part 1" video untill its complete story is read. i just gotta say this story was amazingly good!

This is one of the best Creepypastas I've ever heard. The writing was superb, and I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job narrating it. Thank you for this beautiful experience. Subscribed!
The names in this are incredible. "Harry Bollock" the police officer? A story about a cabin in the woods with the main characters' last name being "Fever"? (It's the Fever Cabin, or, y'know, cabin fever)
Favorite channel to listen to when I play minecraft, work, or want to get anything done. Been here for years, love your videos mate, thank you for always being here when needed and never giving up.
I loved this one! I like to listen to these stories while I'm at work. This one, like many others, had me catching myself slowing down because I kept getting so enchanted by the story. When you have more than one person narrating it really helps paint the picture for me. Thank you for another awesome listen!
I really love the stories you tell, believe you have a special ability to transmit the emotions, the deep sadness mixed with hope, scare a d the feeling of introspection that the characters have, help a lot to introduse one self in the story... I know that are others people's writing but your narrations make it a lot more. thanks.
Johnny said it’s hard to physically manifest as a ghost, compared to the victims who can’t rest, so only the victims of the case could roam around without any constraints or time limits perhaps. Johnny was gone as soon as he led Paul back to the cabin, but Briar could go to the cabin as he pleased, since he was also a victim in the case, though not killed by the real killer, but still a victim of the case.
New favourite channel, love this guy's adlibs and lack of the same monotone, droning voice that alot of people have while reading these stories. A very nice voice too :)
Excellent story, excellent narration. By the end of it, I said "wow" out loud even though I was alone in my apartment :')) thank you for doing this, The Dark Somnium and u/peculi_dar.

@TheDarkSomnium What's going on with the "Don't Go Camping When You're Pregnant" creepypasta, are you ever going to finish the story? It's been like 2+ years just curious if we'll ever get to hear the rest. It just happened to pop back up in my feed and I ended up re-watching it. Really hoping you do finish it!🤞🤞
I love listening to this channel while I do random tasks around my place. It's also good for dark, lonely times when I want some excitement from the blank, nothingness making up the dead of night.
Whenever I listen to this one I always hear The End by The Doors as the story wraps up, Just realised you play a few notes of music as the story is finishing up and my brain subconsciously fills in the rest as it sets the mood! Your work is so much more than just narrating! You create a piece of art!
This is kooky.. this is the second time i listen to this story, and I realized something. Isn't there another popular creepy pasta with a forest and another couple and another violet, burning sky? These would make a great TV show.. send the authors a couple hundred bucks and make a mini movie..
Well that was a great story! At first I expected some sort of a clichéd story about timeline loop and to hear at the end that it was a main character without a tongue running away from some monster and desperately trying to warn himself of unseen danger. But it turned out much more interesting and appealing. Thanks you for a great narration, I absolutely love it!
I'm about to sound super stupid for the longest time I thought you and MrCreepypasta were the same person. I heard his voice here and I stared at my phone in shookness lol You aren't the same?? My life has been a lie all this time???? But thank you for the narration! Amazing as usual and I really enjoyed this story
We were driving our niece home when I put this on and the drive lasts about an hour. When we got to her house she was upset that she would miss the rest of the story so I had to send it to her. 1 new creepy pasta fan!
Hey there dude. Again hope quarantine and the virus situation has been treating you alright. As always I loved this narration. You convey emotion so well through them. This one was one of the few that brought me to tears, the end oddly enough brought me to the realization that through life there’s going to be people you lose and want back simply to say goodbye. That being said, what song/music did you use in the end of the video?

Someome submit it to Sundance!

honestly, this is so cohesive that, with a few tweaks and rewrites, this could definitely be a movie

This would make an incredible movie and game
I FINALLY finished the left right game after a week of listening on my way back and forward to work, and then you dropped the complete version of this story. It's fun to see how different you sound in the two.
Who does the female voice? I noticed its in your more recent videos. The way the your voice and the female voice sound together adds dept to the stories, and the way that both of you narrate is almost identical.
Romnex. He's mentioned it in the description of the video.
You should try driving left and right to work
Thank you that was the best
this has gotta be one of the most satisfying and strangely calming in a way stories I've heard on this channel so far.
I never expected this story to be like this, god damn that was so so good. That was a ride to say the absolute least. My god....
It was incredibly dark, and incredibly beautiful, all at the same time. Quite an achievement.
I was so surprised to hear MrCreepypasta in this one. He's also one of my favorite narrators, cool to know that you guys know each other. There's two other narrators that I also listen to, Swamp Dweller and Campfire Tales, and they know each other as well.
I'm just 3 minutes into this and I got the shits. I know it's gonna be good. The story, that is.
I appreciate your profile picture
You shit your pants haha
@@s0l4r_27 I am curious why you hate 9...its as perfect a number as can be..... three threes....3x3..
It was amazing dude,
@@leakyle8468 same
Man, your narrations are just impeccable. No errors, sound effects that don't break immersion, and fantastic pacing/emotion. I'm totally smitten with this channel!
rare treat when creepypastas have happy/optimistic endings
YESSSSSSSSS omg yes MrCreepyPasta AND Dark Somnium. I am so happy right now.

Are you guys gonna do it??

Hi Somnium! I stumbled upon your work about 6 or 7 weeks ago and am OBSESSED! You are such a talent, from the production amd music to emotive style of narration. Thank you so much for everything my friend and I wish much success to you!
Thank you so much! That's so kind! Im you, I'm honored:)

I've been listening to your creepy pastas stories for a while and Everytime I listen to them I get chills and I love to hear your voice narrating these stories, heck you inspired me to make my own channel and now i have 21 subs. So, thank you so much!!!
The leeches part really got me, I now have a fear of leeches.
You didn't have a fever of leeches before??
Awsome
Leeches an lamprey are disgusting........ugly lil buggers
Leeches don't behave like that at all, and some species are used in medical cases. In instances of a severed diget, like a finger, leeches are used to maintain healthy blood flow during the healing process. Hope this makes you less scared.
@@CeeGeeFursuits I too have leech fever.
Thanks perfect thing to listen to in the background while I work. :)
hope you have a good day at work! :D
That’s what I do as well! Only this is... like with this story, during the part when the mother was telling her story about the woman’s birth, I was tearing up a bit and co-workers are looking at me like “oh my god, I hope everything’s ok! Why is Rocky & Bullwinkle sad?!?!
Same!
This is such a good yarn, well-told, well written, real surprises, interesting & thought provoking, it has it all!
Who knew that so many horror stories could make me cry. Honestly you're the greatest narrator/musician we could ask for Somnium.
The second that "police officer" showed up, I felt very uncomfortable..
And the tongue in the fridge.. gave me shivers. I've played horror games, watched horror movies, had nightmares.. and I've watched a lot of your videos but holy smokes this freaked me out.
Would love another story with this same character. Hope the author does more
You knownits a good story when someone cuts the dang onions.
Honestly one of the most beautiful stories I've heard, and very well narrated.
My Man. Your reading skills and the entire setup has evolved SO MUCH from what it once was! I absolutely love what you have done with the channel and the way you go about the story telling. Really forms a picture in one's imagination and brings those stories to life! Fantastic stuff. Keep it up!
Thank you, i'm excited, your work is always so good!
aw thank you so much! :)
Started listening to you about a week ago, big fan, this one so far is my favorite.
when i started listening to this story there was only part 1 didnt see the "part 1" in the title as listen to your playlists all the time, usually i dont touch a "part 1" video untill its complete story is read. i just gotta say this story was amazingly good!
Dude I could literally fall asleep to your voice, even 3 years ago, but the music + narration is so calming and nice to listen to, even if I forget to listen
My two favourite creepypasta narrators in one long video yusss
This is one of the best Creepypastas I've ever heard. The writing was superb, and I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job narrating it. Thank you for this beautiful experience. Subscribed!
I have listened to hundreds of stories over the years and have to say that this is my absolute favorite. Well done!!
This is like my 15th time listening to this specific story and I tear up almost every time the mother tells her story
I loved this one! I like to listen to these stories while I'm at work. This one, like many others, had me catching myself slowing down because I kept getting so enchanted by the story. When you have more than one person narrating it really helps paint the picture for me. Thank you for another awesome listen!
this man uploads HOURS of pasta and he doesnt get any money out of it true hero.
The production quality on these videos are beyond anyone else
20/10 amazing work!
I really love the stories you tell, believe you have a special ability to transmit the emotions, the deep sadness mixed with hope, scare a d the feeling of introspection that the characters have, help a lot to introduse one self in the story... I know that are others people's writing but your narrations make it a lot more.
thanks.
Oh my GOD! What an amazing story. I was terrified in the beginning but once the story started to grow I was AMAZED. What a beautiful ending
Why was his uncle Johnny there as a ghost when he wasn't a victim? Even as they left he was still talking to him.
Johnny said it’s hard to physically manifest as a ghost, compared to the victims who can’t rest, so only the victims of the case could roam around without any constraints or time limits perhaps.
Johnny was gone as soon as he led Paul back to the cabin, but Briar could go to the cabin as he pleased, since he was also a victim in the case, though not killed by the real killer, but still a victim of the case.
and also harry was actually a good guy and helped out
New favourite channel, love this guy's adlibs and lack of the same monotone, droning voice that alot of people have while reading these stories. A very nice voice too :)
Excellent story, excellent narration. By the end of it, I said "wow" out loud even though I was alone in my apartment :')) thank you for doing this, The Dark Somnium and u/peculi_dar.
I cannot believe that I had forgotten about this beautiful gem. This story gave me non stop goosebumps both the first and now second time hearing this. Too many bitter sweet memories, too many parallels. Thank you so much for all the amazing work you do creating the SFX and the amount of effort put into each and every video. I've been loving the newer stories as well, and have been so pleased to have found your work on Spotify as well. Please my friend, keep up the amazing dedication and attitude towards the beautiful stories you deliver to us. Much love always, Levi Walker
Only 30 minutes in and I already Love this Story! Great Work
Idk how many stories I've listened to in the past 3 or 4 days since I've come across your yt but I cant stop listening to them! They are all so good and ur narration is astounding. The amount of emotion behind the words, the different voices and accents just really brings me into the story. I cant wait to hear more, thank u for you the awesome content! I cant wait for more.
Loved it, nice story, masterfully presented in so many nice voices, and beautiful sound design

I watch your videos almost every day and I'm new to your channel but you are definitely my favorite RUclipsr that ive ever had. :)
Ur voice is so calming and the stories make it even better!!💞
Amazing story. God, you did so well with all the women's voices and echoes, and RomNex killed her performances, too! I'll come back to this one a few times, I already know.
I absolutely love when he does a collab with MrCreepyPasta
I've been enjoying very much this channel! I'm not usually one for these things... creepypasta's and such but I've been glued to it for about a week now
this sent chills down my spine and kept me entertained but by the end i felt relief and absolute comfort as silent tears rolled down my chek this was absolute perfect delicately crafted and its probably my favorite creepypasta ever
Wow, that was amazing. Your narration is on point and the collabs are so good. I loved listening to this while doing 3D designs.
I genuinely thought this was about zombies when the dead guy went up to there car but boi was I wrong FML
This isn’t a creepy pasta it’s just a great story. Thank you again Dark Somnium for being my favorite channel when it comes to stories and pastas
It's amazing to see you collaborate with MCP. The two of you are my favourite narrators!

You liking my comment just made my day!.I always listen especially on my road trips and I actually got my first speeding ticket the other month because I was so in depth into your story.Thank you for going above and beyond and being absolutely amazing!!!!🩷.

What's going on with the "Don't Go Camping When You're Pregnant" creepypasta, are you ever going to finish the story? It's been like 2+ years just curious if we'll ever get to hear the rest.
It just happened to pop back up in my feed and I ended up re-watching it. Really hoping you do finish it!🤞🤞
Plot twist this was the begining of how that story endeds
I love listening to this channel while I do random tasks around my place. It's also good for dark, lonely times when I want some excitement from the blank, nothingness making up the dead of night.
No one else thinks that the dude in the thumbnail looks like a bold Benedict Cumberbatch
I was looking for this 😂😭
Whenever I listen to this one I always hear The End by The Doors as the story wraps up, Just realised you play a few notes of music as the story is finishing up and my brain subconsciously fills in the rest as it sets the mood! Your work is so much more than just narrating! You create a piece of art!
Got my mask in the mail yesterday. Love it!
wow that was really good! nice picks for the channel!
23 minutes in and i've realized how long this video is. didn't think i'd be watching a movie today
This was the best one I’ve heard in four years and you absolutely nailed it ❤
This is kooky.. this is the second time i listen to this story, and I realized something. Isn't there another popular creepy pasta with a forest and another couple and another violet, burning sky?
These would make a great TV show.. send the authors a couple hundred bucks and make a mini movie..
There's a movie about this I'm pretty sure. Two actually
@@johnnyissa7890 what movies?
Well that was a great story!
At first I expected some sort of a clichéd story about timeline loop and to hear at the end that it was a main character without a tongue running away from some monster and desperately trying to warn himself of unseen danger. But it turned out much more interesting and appealing. Thanks you for a great narration, I absolutely love it!
Loving the narration as always) Not the first time saying this, but you inspire me, even made my own channel, thanks for the content🙏🏽

I'm about to sound super stupid for the longest time I thought you and MrCreepypasta were the same person. I heard his voice here and I stared at my phone in shookness lol
You aren't the same?? My life has been a lie all this time????
But thank you for the narration! Amazing as usual and I really enjoyed this story
Haha thats funny! i can see why you would think we were the same person :D
@@Darksomnium you both are great!! I just assumed it was 1 greatness hahaha
Would love to hear you guys collab more in the future!!
There is no reason that i should have gotten that exited when i heard mrcreepypasta responding in 9:35
Omfg that was so random
Great narration!!!
