Festival de Cannes 14 to 25 May 2024

The 77th annual Cannes Film Festival is an upcoming film festival due to take place from 14 to 25 May 2024. American filmmaker and actress Greta Gerwig will serve as jury president for the main competition. French actress Camille Cottin will host the opening and closing ceremonies.
The official poster for the festival featuring a still image from the movie Rhapsody in August (1991) by Akira Kurosawa, selected for the 1991 edition, was designed by Hartland Villa.
During the festival, three Honorary Palme d'Or will be awarded: the first will be awarded for Meryl Streep during the opening ceremony; the second will be awarded to Studio Ghibli and the third will be awarded for George Lucas during the festival's closing ceremony.
